Hawkwind In Search of Space
Voto:
I join those who found the review lacking. However, it is positive and it should be noted that the novice reviewer apologized for such a setup. Not everyone does that! It is also legitimate, as more than one has pointed out, that "progressive" is a definition that really doesn’t fit Hawkwind. Beautifully spaced out, visionary (a bit like Gong) and just the right amount of eccentric. This is a great album, even though my favorite (besides obviously "Space Ritual") remains "Hall Of The Mountain Grill." The lovely little story shared by Bartleboom in post no. 11 is delightful. :DDD

The author of the entry made an excellent contribution, definitively addressing Hetzer's doubt. I actually want to take this opportunity to underline and support the quality of the two beautiful live CD publications by the 21st Century Schizoid Band, featuring both brass players at work. Even better if one can get hold of the DVD recorded in Japan by the band. A more unique than rare opportunity to see Mike Giles behind the drums with his unique style. If Salzano is aware of any further developments regarding the group's activities, I would appreciate being informed. Thank you.

I essentially agree with the analysis of a deeply felt work, in every sense, from a listener who has clearly managed to love its creators and understand them profoundly. Perhaps the best of the two is what they achieved with the other two, S&Y, or maybe with the Byrds for Crosby. Personally, I always find "Wind On Water," both the album and the composition, very moving.

Nice provocation, Sfascia. A beautiful and revealing opportunity to highlight the weaknesses of human nature. And how little it takes to unleash small, but fortunately harmless, hornet’s nests in the (ex) beautiful country, which has indeed returned to a medieval-style obscurantism for some time now. As for the sample, I would say that not even Han Bennink (a very serious and "historic" free percussionist) could have come up with something like this. A little recommendation to Ornette, in my opinion, wouldn’t hurt. Ossi & Equi a dio sam. I greet you. And thanks for the smiles you’ve drawn from me! ;-)

@Hetzer: I don't have "Red" by KC at hand ("Starless" is on this album, not on USA) but in that piece on sax there is, as you say, Mel Collins (though on the album he plays the soprano sax), or more likely there is the tenor of Ian McDonald, who is also present.

Just to update those interested, Henriksen's new work, which I consider extraordinary, has been released a couple of months ago; it is titled "Cartography," for ECM, featuring guests Eivind Aarset, David Sylvian, Audun Kleive, and Lars Danielsson.

@Macaco: Airto Moreira is featured on "Tepore" while Vasconcelos carves out ample space on "Eartheart." For the availability of the materials, I highly recommend visiting his website -gianlucamosole.com and contacting him directly without any hesitation. I know he is a very friendly and accommodating person, and in fact, I'm sure he would definitely appreciate feedback regarding this.

@Antologya delle Idiozie & @trota-da-dementi: you really make a lovely couple, like Laurel and Hardy. Or if you prefer, ass and shirt. It's really true: God makes them and then matches them up. For me, you can also go fuck yourselves. And maybe you'll like it, so at least you'll get out of my way. Go ahead with your idiocies and various delirious madnesses. People like you can be done without, thank God, quite comfortably. I really hope not to find you in the comments anymore given the absolute uselessness (and danger) of your presence. But now that's enough. I'm closing here for good out of decency towards other readers and from the boredom derived from the absolute uselessness of these surreal dialogues with two poor disturbed souls.

@Rockantologya: It seems that you're really good at rambling when you want to (and also in the use of the Italian language). Let's hope now that after your outburst-delirium this story truly comes to an end (oh, and don't forget to find your "buddies" somewhere else). @trota-da-mare: It's now clear that no one EVER, from anywhere, on this site finds your wicked and nasty comments worth a glance, which shows that your "outbursts" don’t interest anyone at all and this should make you think, if you were capable of doing so, although there’s plenty of reason to doubt that. I’ll take advantage of this space (and just for this once) to inform you that from the topics and tone of what you write, it's hard to believe that you aren't just another poor fool who rants about his own idiocies and malice into the wind. Where I come from, guys like you are called "shit spreaders" and they usually get isolated (just like you are on debaser, in fact). And the reason is obvious. But there are those (the same people who express their opinions by reading things without publicly voicing them, having no ties whatsoever) who even say worse about someone who has serious and deep mental/sexual issues like you. It's now understood that in your various comments (comments?) you're just being a pain for the sake of it, frustrated and sad as you are. Your irony isn’t worth a damn and your way of considering yourself witty is pathetic and pitiful. Maybe go and bother someone else. You would surely do us all a favor. And especially to those who love music rather than your poisonous and annoying outbursts. I'm surprised that the editors haven’t caught on to the nature and purpose of this person's interventions.
