Sergio Caputo Swing&Soda
Voto:
Sergio Caputo is a nice guy. He looks like the good-natured, somewhat childlike brother of Vinicio Capossela. It's a shame he ended up forgotten; he was charming, polite, and classy. Say hi to him for me.
Prefab Sprout The Gunman And Other Stories

Dear Socrates, I have been abstaining from debt for a month, until two days ago when I found myself directly in front of songs in the key.. I saw and read The Gunman. And I thank you for the advice you accepted. I feel the same way as you; when I listened to it for the first time, I felt like I did when I heard the return of Television in the '90s: competent, in great shape, but a bit out of shape. Until next time, I know that if I think of an album and wait to review it, you'll do it shortly after!

Excuse me, can you recommend an album by Graziani? They also seem to be on sale...

Sorry for the delay, but guys, you make me blush with happiness! I’ll tell you. Outkast is my favorite black group these days. And The Love Below (not to take anything away from Speakerboxxx), that's the best we can ask for right now from this music genre. It's a kaleidoscope of ideas, class, style, excellent from every point of view. And I’m in love with Stankonia; it's a step above their contemporaries. And it’s ridiculous that Outkast is treated like the Black Eyed Peas, as if they came out with Hey Ya... The Neptunes are brilliant minds. They are the smartest in the entire music industry. Can you believe they even made me like Justin Timberlake (Rock Your Body) or the resurrected Snoop Dogg (Beautiful)? They have the magic touch, no doubt about it. If they produced Pupo tomorrow, you’d start to like him too. We'll talk about Prince calmly. That would be limiting. Shall we do a couple of reviews for him? Lauryn Hill is coming back? Remy Shand is coming back? They seem to have disappeared, unfortunately.

The jazz universe has Bitches Brew, the black music universe has Songs In The Key Of Life.

It's not that black music is simply music made by someone of color. Look at some dictionaries like Giunti, I don't know, get informed. Or listen better, maybe you'll understand the differences. Even Bob Marley, for that matter, is a person of color, or Tracy Chapman. But they don't carry on black music. The Soul and Rap of The Last Poets or the Ohio Players are unlikely to be seen on TV.

Socrates, when I'm on vacation, I'm happy because I know you are there watching over Debaser. It's a shame; if the world were fair, this review should have existed a long time ago or been commented on by dozens of people, for better or for worse. But I still have hope! I agree with what you said; I liked the little story. Songs In The Key is the album that today's Black people should listen to, not just sample. It's the pinnacle and the celebration of the achievements made by Black music since the days of the Platters. Then... I don't know, disco came in to commercialize, rap came in to deconstruct. But hip-hop ended up making these fine characters lose their minds. And even Stevie gave in a while ago. At this point, maybe it's better that Marvin has kicked the bucket; otherwise, he would have started doing duets with Blue or fallen into depression given the situation. I hope that Black music gets back on its feet, that it stops cloning itself with these D'Angelo and Alicia Keys of the moment. I trust in Cody Chesnutt.

Socrates, sorry for the delay... but it would really be great to have your review of The Gunman... well, I'm looking forward to it, after all we have time until the next Prefab release.
Bim Sherman Miracle

My favorite by Sherman is Across The Red Sea. It’s the first with Sherwood, it’s intense and vibrant, and it might be his first big hit. It definitely was for my heart.
