Yes, yes... this is little but sure..! MAY, honestly, is not a great technician..! I mean... technically he's certainly not on the colossal level of other better guitarists..! However, even though I find him annoying, I consider him a great artist and especially a composer!! As a composer, he deserves special praise!!

In my opinion, the best REM album! Much better than the more famous "Automatic For The People"! It contains gems and has definitely been one of the most important albums of the decade!!!

I know it's hard to understand... to accept... to comprehend... but it's also true that... I think BRIAN MAY (with all the money he has...) really doesn't care about his career in terms of money..! I mean... I've heard from many sources that QUEEN (or rather... what’s left of QUEEN...) have come back for the money..! Well, that's a big load of nonsense considering that... the catalog under the name "QUEEN," including tapes, CDs, DVDs, gadgets, etc., must be one of the best-selling catalogs worldwide (or anyway... among the top 5 best-selling...) so... they certainly don't need money..! They're probably continuing because they want to play and get back "on the road"! I think they don't care whether or not they sell with the album featuring PAUL RODGERS! Also because... I believe that if they really wanted to sell... they would have chosen a much more well-known vocalist, especially among young people (like ROBBIE WILLIAMS... GEORGE MICHAEL... etc.)! Bah..what to say..! I, as a fan..and knowing many behind-the-scenes details, can only tell you that PAUL had been a long-time friend of MAY..! Basically..MAY always says they wanted a vocalist who was different from FREDDIE..but..more than different, they simply wanted someone who would NOT mimic FREDDIE and wouldn't try to imitate him! Also because, if he had tried to do so, he would have been flooded with criticism! PAUL RODGERS does his dirty and good job..! I, unlike almost all the other fans, am STRONGLY AGAINST this choice by the two buddies TAYLOR and MAY to return to the stage..and I agree with you on the pre-retirement..! Just like OZZY said about his return to SABBATH, namely: there’s no need..there are no ideas and above all THERE'S NO REASON TO DIRTY A NAME AS VALUABLE as a new album that might make us long for the old glories..! Do you agree?

Of course... U2... up until ACTHUNG BABY are indisputable..! Certainly a great band! But... from ZOOROPA onwards... it’s a festival of rhetoric..! All simple little songs.. of the simplest chart-topping POP.. because.. that’s what they are, little songs like SWEETEST THING or WALK ON or ELEVATION or STARING AT THE SUN or VERTIGO.. or am I wrong??? The same goes for QUEEN: in the '70s their rock was definitely very important and valid!!! Then... they can be liked or disliked.. that’s obvious! And in the '80s they fell at a VERTIGINOUS rate.. until they became an ordinary POP group almost without ideas..! But.. I find that INNUENDO is much superior to their '80s albums! Try listening to HOT SPACE (1982), THE WORKS (1984), KIND OF MAGIC (86), THE MIRACLE (89)... and then... listen to INNUENDO...!
There is an abyss of difference! The '80s albums were characterized by a certain qualitative poorness..! INNUENDO is the exact opposite..! Very full..rich..interesting..and well executed! I place INNUENDO ALMOST on the same level as SHEER HEART ATTACK and QUEEN 2 (true masterpieces of the band..)!

Dear LUCA REED: if QUEEN are rhetorical.. what are U2 (I’m bringing them up just to make an example..)? U2 are rhetoric incarnate..! All their songs sound the same.. simple and always banal POP..! As for your speech about INNUENDO! Well.. look.. in my opinion, QUEEN.. until A NIGHT AT THE OPERA.. are the best band in history..! That’s for sure..! Then.. they declined, going through dark years (the '80s..) with truly inferior and rhetorical albums..! Okay.. we agree on that..!
But even though they were pretty awful in the '80s.. you can’t compare the albums from the '80s with INNUENDO.. because that’s blasphemy..!

Look CLAUDIO.. think that.. among my favorite artists.. there are DURAN DURAN (whom I adore madly..), TEARS FOR FEARS, SIMPLE MINDS.. and in general.. all the POP from the '80s! So.. I absolutely have nothing against POP.. on the contrary.. that’d be the last thing!
Simply put.. I expected more from QUEEN on certain occasions.. and they consistently semi-disappointed me..! Even though.. contrary to what you think.. in my opinion, 3 out of 5 is a decent score.. and THE WORKS deserves that in my view! Then again.. these are subjective things.. hehe! For me too, POP is a nice genre.. and then.. it depends.. there’s POP and.. POP! When people criticize POP.. they do it because it seems like a simple and lame genre..! But.. In fact, if you read above.. I have repeatedly shown admiration for many U2 albums.. calling them masterpieces (I won't repeat myself now..)! I go to concerts of many artists (when I can..) precisely because I believe I am very open-minded, unlike 99% of the people who live with blinders or slices of ham in front of their eyes..!
