It's not like we're talking about the DEATH PENALTY, or AIDS, or WARS..! Damn... we’re talking about music or so-called music..! It’s fun..! We’re talking... we’re debating..! If you have personal or family issues... don’t come venting here..! We’re having a discussion... keep the tone calm..! And above all: 1) a little self-irony that you U2 fans lack..! 2) elaborate your sentences and your thoughts! Explain..! I have an open mind... and I accept every opinion..! Also because... to be considered the "best live band" in the world, you need not only to know how to play (and we could talk about this for hours..) but... you should also have a singer... worthy of that name..! BONO, unfortunately, is not worthy..! In the '80s... he was good! But now he’s damn pitiful..! He’s off-key, he can’t reach the high notes (which he can, however, hit in studio albums..), and he always sings one octave lower (I’m not talking nonsense... I saw them in ROME this year..)! The fact is you, like many other U2 fans, don't accept criticism..! It's one thing if I start saying, "U2 are shit..they suck..", etc..! Then..I deserve your insults..!
But it's another thing if we talk CALMLY and SERIOUSLY..! And I did!! I repeated over and over that U2's albums from the '80s are of excellent quality..! But from ZOOROPA onwards..they softened and lost their ideas and became just a simple chart band..! That’s all! Did I blaspheme? Did I insult them? NO..I simply expressed my SUBJECTIVE opinion, just like yours and everyone else's!
Accept someone who goes against the grain! What you lack is objectivity..! You can't recognize the mistakes of your favorite band..! I like QUEEN, for example, but I calmly recognize and admit that many of their albums SUCK!! Really! They made a lot of mistakes! And I admit it! For you, on the other hand..U2 are all roses and sunshine..and you won't accept criticism..! And for heaven's sake! A little objectivity!

INNUENDO is a masterpiece! And I love THE MIRACLE because… it’s a bit of a return to old-school ROCK since, you know, it’s full of guitar… and MAY does a great job on that album..! As for the rest… I agree with you… every album in the end… contains little great gems…!!!

Sure.. I agree with that! Every album has its gems inside..! Each album is beautiful in its own way! I'm fully on board with that..! However.. there's a big difference between the MASTERPIECES of the '70s (QUEEN 2, A NIGHT AT THE OPERA, SHEER HEART ATTACK..) and some albums that are a bit worse (HOT SPACE and THE WORKS..)! That's all! I didn't mean to say that HOT SPACE is crap or that THE WORKS is crap! Simply, IN MY OPINION, they are not on the level of their masterpieces from the '70s.. that's all! I also happily listen to the albums from the '80s.. but.. I find that the true QUEEN are the ones from the '70s! That's all! Regards!
