Oh God, Stoney, why don't you find yourself a damn woman instead of bothering everyone? What experience do you have with BM? What do you know? What are you talking about? Be wise; let those who understand speak, those who have lived in the scene for years, who can afford criticism and praise, and spare us these obsessive figures. Out of friendship.

Gorgoroth, Darkthrone, and Burzum don’t resonate with me at all. To me, this seems like a good Swedish black metal album: solid, violent, exhilarating at times (Baphomet and Dungeons), but a bit flat in terms of pacing. I won’t deny that compared to other releases in the same vein, Unio Mystica Maxima has a certain pleasant ritual atmosphere, but to call it a manifesto of how black metal should be is stretching it. I’ll say a few words about Fabban, whom I had the chance to get to know for a while. He is a nice and friendly person, but he is certainly not the dark prophet that many of us imagine. Let’s cut out the poses and the 90s Norwegian iconography; while it may have made sense back then, now, especially here in Italy, it just feels childish.

But indeed psycho, the only valid criticism that can be made about a moderate consumption like yours is that it still finances organized crime. Then, for heaven's sake, if among the vines you have some other cultivation, I don't want to know.

Hi DeLo. I remember we talked in chat about something like this, but it seems you were against my thesis that the first supporter of the mafia is the consumer of grass from a social center. If I'm mistaken, I'd be happy to find you in agreement with me. I hope, anyway, that no one has any objections to this point.

Sorry, I mixed up the grades. The 5 was for Where No Life...

I'm speaking as a layman when it comes to death metal, but to me "Where No Life Dwells" really seems like a great album, and I don't see why it shouldn't be this band's performance of a lifetime. Otherwise, good review. Memento, are you from Rome?

@Workhorse: Drudkh, Windir, Dissection, Nokturnal Mortum, Angantyr. Let's say I would recommend them to a listener unaccustomed to extreme sounds, just to "smooth out" their auditory perception and temper the outbursts typical of BM with melodic doses. Only then Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, etc. @Ale9t0: to me, your question seems quite interesting; I think it has already been discussed somewhere. Anyway, the question deserves a fairly articulated answer. I’ll check back this afternoon if I can, and I'll try to explain how I see it.
