@Anfox: and also for me, as they say in Rome.

@Anfox: I don’t think you’re an idiot. I just think that maybe before buying the ticket and/or paying for the Sky subscription, you could consider a couple of things. My post was meant to be an invitation, perhaps a bit brash, to those considerations.

@Anfoxx: you're mistaken, in fact, I was forced into relative immobility for more than seven months, and when I got fed up with movies or books, I watched soccer (which I learned to appreciate as a beautiful choreographic display of jumps and dives and elegant little dances, if you will, by 22 little girls around the ball), because unfortunately, on Italian sports channels, nothing else is shown except for basketball or, indeed, rugby. And even before (and still now), when the grueling training schedule allows it, I play a little five-a-side match once a month with friends. Both when I play and when I watch, I laugh at these lovely ladies who crash to the ground at the slightest contact, roll around for meters and cry like infants, these cheerful queens who delight in scoring with their pretty little ball as if that automatically made them gods on earth. And it pisses me off to see the idiots who drool over them, who while watching TV say, "man, this is boring, always Saviano," and then would be willing to kill for their pathetic little team, which devastates entire cities, trains, infrastructure because, in the end, the simplest thing to do is to turn off your brain and go to the stadium. And you come tell me I don't get soccer? I say: look, maybe you’re the one who doesn't understand sports. And don't pull out the usual bullshit like "but I don't go to the stadium," "but I've always behaved well at the stadium," because it doesn't matter, because just by going there or paying for a Sky Sports subscription, you endorse the ultras, the overpaid idiots, the destroyed trains, you say "yeah, but what the hell do I care, as long as I can watch the guys in their underpants chase the ball, the rest can go to hell." Screw soccer.

A review as useful as a hole in the elbow (cit.). I could repeat much of what Telespalla wrote, but I prefer to talk, as a passionate practitioner of contact sports, about what the word "sport" really means. In fact, it's better to clarify what it does NOT mean; first of all, it does not mean a VIP lifestyle, tons of money, cars, and women; it does not mean hordes of excited and adoring idiots who, not knowing what to believe in, have decided it's better for the blue team to score rather than the red team; it does not mean arrogance; it does not mean intellectual dishonesty (which can range from faking a foul to provoking the opponent hoping to get them to do something wrong). In two words, it does not mean Sunday football at S. Siro, Olimpico, Delle Alpi, or anywhere else.

I don't know them, but it's also true that I don't frequent the scene much anymore. This blend of epic pathos and depressive tones seems interesting, but you could have spent a few more words to better frame the album. For example, okay, it's an Italian band. Is it self-produced or is there a label? How's the quality of the production? Raucous or clean? Confused and chaotic sounds or clear and sharp? Keyboard carpets or desperate monotones?

Good review, interesting proposal.

Comprehensive review, but I wonder how much sense a track by track breakdown makes for a drone doom album. I’m not familiar with them, and aside from the more black metal-influenced fringes, I find this genre a bit difficult to digest.

The sky knows how much I would love to see one of his concerts, but I rarely go to Sicily and in Rome, it's out of the question. A heartfelt review. I would like to suggest to newromantic and the fantastic judge to find themselves a woman: their sarcasm reveals an incipient testicular polyp due to the excessive accumulation of secretions.

I find the use of facepainting excessive for sounds that owe much to the more ambient/minimalist side of American Depressive Black Metal, but I must say that, seen live, with their 50,000 liters of goat blood spilled on stage and on the crowd, they always make a hell of an impression. Of course, if they had avoided the Norwegian trip and hadn't been involved in the trials for the burning of Christian churches and the ritual murders carried out in the Scandinavian woods, by now we would have had a more pronounced production rhythm, but on the other hand, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy those bloody atmospheres of pure madness that only the Blackcrhist Noyz after the burzum-gorgoroth contamination can provide.
