Great, congratulations. I am not familiar with the album being presented here, but I have several Nortt albums, and although I prefer Xasthur, Leviathan, and others in the depressive genre, I definitely consider it a project worth mentioning.

You won't believe it, but I have no notes for you. ;-)

My opinions, both on the FT and the members of the S.E.W. project, were confirmed (at least from a subjective point of view) not long ago when I had the pleasure of witnessing, (from a privileged position, as you know) their performance, both of Argento and Azoth, live sessions for the Hiems, and of the FT during our evening in Guidonia (RM). Not only are they great musicians, as they made this concert unforgettable, but also great people. I don't know what your knowledge is about these two musical realities, but I truly hope that, over time and with some deeper listening, you'll come to appreciate them as, in my opinion, they deserve. As for the review, I'm really uncertain about the rating: you have undoubtedly demonstrated your descriptive and analytical skills once again, but this time I think you've reached general conclusions that are too far from my own, which I still respect. Therefore, I don’t feel I can give you the highest score, even though from a purely stylistic point of view, you would deserve it. I hope you'll forgive the length of the message.

If in this case you can find me in agreement with the strictly musical side relating only, and I emphasize only, to this album, I think quite differently about the band. Personally, I find in Forgotten Tomb, as their main gift, precisely that which you say they lack, namely, emotionality. These are clearly personal opinions, but behind every note of most of the band's tracks I can discern pain, anguish, and fury, in a solution that has little or nothing calculated about it. You also wrote that they lack, so to speak, a peak of excellence: I see that peak, clear and powerful, in Springtime Depression, of which it is not the case for me to elaborate, as this is not the venue. I must say that I do not agree with you even on that brief reference to Spite Extreme Wing... rather, I would invert the terms of the sentence: starting with a proposal that is undoubtedly interesting, but not exceptional, they have evolved to give birth to that milestone of Italic extreme music that is Kosmokrator.

There will be a very long comment that I fear I will have to split into two parts.

Bah, I’m not convinced by this album. The review yes, but I don’t agree with the reviewer.

How is it not very Finnish??!!! That is the sound of Finland par excellence! Behexen are perhaps a bit outside the boundaries of the Finnish school... for the rest, the same nostalgic despair you feel in Sargeist, you also feel in Vitsaus, Horna, Satanic Warmaster, etc... Anyway, I wrote a review on Satanic Black Devotion... if you have time, go check it out and see if you agree with what I wrote.

Well, a bit too laid-back in my opinion, at least judging by what I've heard from Towards The Frozen Stream... anyway, you can't deny them a good dose of originality and elegance. In some passages, they remind me of Summoning, but in an even more relaxed version. From up there, however, in my opinion, Sargeist reign supreme.

By clicking, I was sure I was about to read a review of some obscure EP by Thy Primordial... and instead, I struck out. In any case, it was worth reading. I didn’t know that Void of Silence had collaborated with this band, which, by the way, I don’t know at all… You know, I don’t agree with you when you say that many of the Scandinavian or Balkan bands that celebrate their homeland achieve vulgar results… even in the aforementioned Bathory, as well as in Graveland or in lesser-known formations like Nokturnal Mortum and Lucifugum, ending up in the most fucked-up underground of Temnozor, I always manage to notice a kind of poetry, nothing trivial, but expressive, epic, and, in many cases, elegant.
