Well, it seems to me that the issue is even more controversial... I completely agree with your distinction, but I don't agree with your classifications: a work like Under the Sign of Hell I find just as intimate as Black Metal Ist Krieg, to name one, indeed, perhaps even more cryptic...

So, whether Gorgoroth are geniuses or not is a matter of taste... I consider them to be, the direct heirs of Darkthrone: zero technique, infinite attitude, funereal atmospheres, total frost. Dark Funeral attitude???!! Oh, come on... do you really call a stab in the back while you're drunk conviction?? Let's not kid ourselves... Emperor Magus is some half-wit, he canceled a concert in Canada when the rest of the band was already on stage due to a bit of fever. Tsjuder, now they truly live the black spirit in an instinctive way, without philosophical frills, in the most rotten way... there’s a substantial difference between them and Dark Funeral: the former are substance, the latter are an appearance trying to imitate substance... Enthroned are pretty much discount-tier, that much is certain.

Oh, come on... Gorgoroth have never been fools... you can accuse them of having an image that's too true, but you can't find anything frosty about it. I believe they are the only band whose lyrics are backed by concrete actions. As for Tsjuder, even though I'm not too crazy about them, their attitude is undeniable... it's still acceptable for Enthroned, as they at least put in some effort, but Dark Funeral! Great songs, sure, but zero attitude, zero spirit, zero pathos... No, you can compare DF to Ent, but you absolutely can't lump all four together... that would be a superficial analysis... I'll soon take a look at Forgotten; I already have a feeling we'll have a lot to discuss... ;-)

The Carpathian have been dwindling since Strange Old Brew, and Nattefrost's personal projects have never interested me... I've always found him a clown, a character completely devoid of any talent... one note: I don't see how you can compare Tsjuder and Gorgoroth to Enthroned and Dark Funeral...

"You say it is the great cause that sanctifies even war? I say to you: it is the great war that sanctifies every cause"...a purely provocative remark. Friedrich Nietzsche

So, I would have insisted more on the historical contextualization. Mütiilation is one of the most unique offshoots of the black legion. I appreciated the reference to vampirism, which is very apt, but rather than reinterpret the myth, I would say that Meyna'ch does it justice by restoring the original image of the vampire, namely the Violator of the most sacred refuge (the bed), found in old Slavic legends and traceable in the tales of Lamia, of Latin origin: a filthy, hunched, deformed being that crawls through the night like an atavistic nightmare. Musically, I don't think the adjective "darkthronian" fits... Mütiilation is desperately violent and dark, yet the riffs are paradoxically airy (just think of songs like Transilvania), or, as in Rattenkonig, they can become a mad self-destructive machine, but they always lack that cold aura that surrounds Nocturno Culto, with its riffs having a certain epic quality... it's totally different in terms of matrix, in my opinion.

I would have described it differently, but it is a very, very subjective musical experience. "Night is opened wide for my kingdom - HELL, apparitions come as dalyght dies - HELL"

Geeno, can you stop hiding behind this story of exchanging opinions and respect? It's obvious that you're here to provoke and annoy, and you certainly don't care about understanding how people who listen to this music think. You're the first to show no respect, throwing in some one-liners and commenting as if you're speaking from a pedestal.

Geeno wrote: "THIS IS NOT MUSIC." I'm sorry, but here all attempts at dialogue that I tried to initiate come to an end. I don't think I have anything else to say to you. Actually, no. Maybe a nice fuck you is what you deserve, obtuse ignoramus.
