Nice review and interesting mention; as proof of how bad the new hp is, I, who don't know the author, thought it was a record.

Good, indeed excellent analysis. However, when it comes to the numbers, you limit yourself to stating your opinion without providing other sources that contradict them. The piece by Rigoulot doesn't seem absurd to me at all; we know very little about millions of other deaths caused by totalitarian regimes inspired by socialism.
You were right to make the distinction between theory and practical application of certain ideas; unfortunately, declaring the divorce of communism from practical implementation also means acknowledging its failure. The problem, in my view, lies in the fact that communism originates as a socio-economic doctrine, thus eminently practical; unlike other ideologies (which are guilty of having provided the basis for Nazism) that propose themselves mainly as new moralities, and which, in their intangibility, manage to persist. In this light, it is absurd to think that communism is still elevated to the level of pure theory, while anyone who refers to certain ideas of understanding Europe and the concept of nation is accused of being a racist/nazi and so on. By the way, I haven't read the book in question. I have one called "Il Libro nero Dell'Inquisizione" about the crimes of the medieval church, also from Mondadori. Could it be a series?

A review that barely reviews. If you wanted to insist on the political aspect, you could have at least done it better.
Morbid Angel Covenant

No one doubts the historical significance that the MA have had for death metal: I’m just saying that they ramble on about Lovecraftian entities, cheap satanism, and clichéd anti-Christianity, doing so with an ostentation that borders on stupidity. Not that death metal shines in its lyrics, but there’s certainly better even within the same genre.

It seems like a really heavy thing; I must be wrong.

Punctuation a bit haphazard and a review that seems to have been written in a rush. I find Morbid Angel ridiculous in their forced aura of black esotericism; as I've said before, to me they remain American wannabes with a desire to make a lot of noise. Which they manage quite well, considering the good quality of some albums.
