A truly enlightening comment, geeno. You say that in today's society calmness, serenity, and indifference are not the same thing. No, perhaps not. Let's say that calmness and serenity are the decorations with which modern man embellishes his indifference, his desire to live his life exactly as it has always unfolded, undisturbed and unchanging. What you call the quiet man, geeno, is the one who sees the mugging in the street and walks straight on, not because he condemns it, but simply because that event does not concern him. Thank you again for your indispensable contribution.

Following your line of thought, I don't see how these should be any less ridiculous than those who use growl or tempos over 200. I'm starting to think that some member of some extreme metal band has stolen your woman...

@MAH, the intention was to caricature the situation of an ordinary person, who is not that ordinary after all, given that they adhere to a certain weltanschauung and a particular philosophy of life, and consequently, loves black metal. In the review, I particularly enjoyed playing on those sensations that now and then such a person might experience while being aware of their deep estrangement from the background values typical of the environments they usually frequent. The "satanist" protagonist (who is not really a satanist) reacts to this feeling of estrangement by feeling guilty: only to discover, precisely within the confessional where he had decided to unload that burden, that what he believed to be his sin actually allows him to approach an emotional sphere that truly calm, truly "normal" people have long forgotten due to convenience and social conventions that prescribe maintaining calm, composure, INDIFFERENCE in the face of anything. Why does the "satanist" kill the prelate? Because he represents this "mediation" that society wants to impose between man and his feelings. In conclusion, the discussion here is made and expressed in the same caricatured terms as the review; thus, it is exaggerated and totalizing, just like the review itself, which has a primarily ironic-provocative purpose. I hope no one takes offense. @CORE, thanks for stopping by. I’m glad to see that you understood the spirit in which I wrote this nonsense ;-)

Thank you all. @Bartle, did you really go to see Impaled?? I knew about your interest in trash, but from that to actually attending a live show of rotten and crude black metal is quite a leap ;) @Telespalla, your comments are always appreciated. I hope you like the album. @Geeno, among the alternates and pseudo-intellectuals I forgot to mention the "wise ones." I hope you didn’t take offense. @Yosif, thanks for stopping by. Did you notice that I quoted you? ;)

Regardless of my dislike for prog, this thing feels like a tacky punch in the balls. Good review anyway.

Review of those I like: thorough, heartfelt, and concise... with that touch of irony in the opening that is worth a 5 on its own. When I listen to the album, I’ll let you know how it struck me. In the meantime, keep it up.

For heaven's sake Yosif, a fair review, a good analysis. But from someone who comes to give me a lecture about black metal as music for acne-ridden adolescents, I really didn’t expect this punk rock from a leftist high school rally. Tastes... no hard feelings.

Do you know about Yosif? The problem is that you judge people by what they listen to. This might not be totally wrong (after all, music is an important part of people's emotional lives), if only your analysis weren’t of a disarming superficiality. Reading the next lines might make your world come crashing down, but you see, I practice martial arts, I am successful with women, I have a shaved head, I drive a Nexus 250 that is the end of the world, I have a few but excellent friends AND YET I play and listen to black metal. Don’t generalize, don’t trivialize, don’t stop at appearances. Take care.
