Dear Dreamax, the thing that saddened me the most was discovering only afterwards that at the end of November the Muli were in concert in Milan... I can't forgive myself for not having gone!

hahaha Cosmogabri...I swear your comment made me laugh because I've been listening almost exclusively to these two bands lately, and many years ago it was actually a clerk at a record store who recommended both them and the Crowes to me!

Dreamax, you're right, it's music more for musicians than for listeners, but maybe my judgment is skewed by being a musician myself. And here, our friends improvise with such pleasure, and there are only a few groups left that echo my beloved Allman Brothers or the Grateful Dead. To name a couple, Phish and Widespread Panic are great southern jammers, perhaps a bit less hard rock but just as amazing as the Mules.

This is a band that is much, much better live because there are so many improvisations and the versions are superior to those in the studio, but if I have to recommend a studio album with the trio lineup, I suggest their self-titled debut album, while for the lineup with added keyboards, I recommend their new "By a Thread," which is really beautiful.

Thank you so much for the correction :)
Well, I might be biased, but for me, everything they've done is gold. However, due to my obsessive and methodical nature in listening, I would do everything in chronological order to see the beautiful evolution of this project. Here they were at the beginning, much more of a power trio; now they're an excellent full ensemble that can virtually play almost every genre of rock. I'm in love with these charming southerners.

Oops, the vote was supposed to be a 5, but due to my distraction, I forgot to give it.

I love every single work of this excellent group without exception. I was really saddened by their breakup, but instead, they made a great comeback in the Olympus of southern rock, and after the excellent Warpaint, they return with an album that's almost better thanks to the variety of solutions and their full maturity. Thank you for the very enjoyable review. My passion for southern rock never dies, thanks also to them and to Gov't Mule, who have also released another great album recently :)
