Lucio Battisti Don Giovanni

Your analysis of the residual traces of feelings in the latest Battisti production is exhaustive and plausible; however, I wonder how much meaning some interpretative "certainties" (I also refer to mine regarding the title) can have in relation to a body of work that seems to have only allusion and ambiguity as constants. Even more than denying feeling, it seems that Battisti-Panella were interested in denying the "sense" that is even higher than love, in a hypothetical hierarchical order of traditional values in Italian song and beyond...
Gang Of Four Entertainment!
Voto:
Indeed, it’s been a while since the Gang of Four have been brought up, especially since the Franz Ferdinand came on the scene.
A splendid album, Entertainment!, which I can't separate, in the little rooms of my brain, from "BUY" by the Contortions...
David Bowie Heroes

It's not a bad review, dear Perez... just a bit emotionally restrained, though I understand your shyness in facing such an iceberg. But I think you've already accomplished a lot by accepting the huge challenge of being the first (at least I believe) to write on these pages. The only flaw I've always found in Heroes is the fact that it's not a double album.
David Bowie Station to Station

Beyond Bowie’s intentions, I have always felt this album as an attempt to "cast away" one's fears through a sound that remains overwhelming, even when it isn't festive. Rather, it’s more of a “let’s dance (and let’s...) for the last time while the Titanic sinks” than a “let’s stop and reflect on our devastations.” A transitional album, while the true darkness will only arrive the following year.
Anyway, TVC15 is one of those tracks that when it starts, the phone could ring, the fire alarm could go off, even thieves could break in, and I wouldn’t hear them...
I really like the beginning of your review, with you getting on the train, etc., and the rest is quite heartfelt as well... even though I have a very different approach to this record.

I don't know if there is an actual intention to "not talk anymore about emotions and romantic feelings." It seems to me that the stance of the two is a constant ambiguity towards emotions. There's irony by the kilo, a taste for mockery, that there's plenty of, but not total emotional coldness. I believe that the complete purification of any feelings will come only with CSAR...

Thank you again, Enea. You know, for the discussion about the myth of Don Giovanni, I approached it a bit through exclusion; if there are no references to either the opera or the myth, why such a "significant" title?
...Ugh! damn me! now, to avoid looking bad, I'll have to do some research!
David Bowie Scary Monsters

Ha ha! I know very well, Perez! In fact, I have a very "affective" review in the works for Lodger, which for personal reasons is (at times...) my favorite Bowie album. I haven't dared to tackle (as a review) that wonderful magma that is Outside, because I think I wouldn't have enough of an entire website to cover all the insights it contains...

Thank you Enea! I think there might also be some encrypted references from Don Giovanni by Mozart, too bad about my beastly ignorance in the field of classical music...

I share the concepts you express, Perez... But why so much arrogance? You know how it is... there are things called "o-p-i-n-i-o-n-s"...

"I wanted to say that the much-touted new wave was created by Bowie when new wave was already being talked about for a while."
In January 77 (release date of Low)?
