Regarding the story of new concepts and trends... I stand corrected: in fact, the wall is quite aligned with the more commercial trends of '79. If it weren't for the wedontneednoooeduchesciooon to a disco beat, there's no way the whole album would have been a best seller.

I didn't know there was a minimum threshold of good taste for writing a review.
I feel like I've already summarized my motivations. It's the work of a leader (without a group anymore). It may also be untouchable for fans, but does anyone want to argue that it contains a tenth of the strength of Ummagumma (live), or The Piper?

In fact, I referred to the VU as acid mess, not exactly psychedelia. By constantly sinking into the filth of a NY that was certainly not San Francisco, they eventually arrived at their own more or less conscious form of anti-psychedelia. Although theirs is more of a hyperrealist portrait, a certain visionary quality emerges from the combination of lyrics and music. They certainly didn’t belong to historical psychedelia, but if psychedelia is an attitude, it seems to me that the Velvets (even though dressed in black) fully embraced it.

Indeed, I admit that I've made a bit of a mess from all the copy-pasting: by dryness, I was referring to the absence of the typical sound of the VCS3 from Dark Side, and I realize that this note may seem in contradiction with the story of the symphonic scores. Mea culpa.

I don't want to be alternative to anything, and I've already said in other posts that, in my opinion, the opposition between new wave and prog is thirty years old, but still relevant in front of those who bow to albums like this as if they were bibles.

Respect for the family? If a work provides certain insights, I don't see why one cannot comment freely. It's not a secret diary. It was he, Waters, who put his business on a record; I don't see why certain facts cannot be commented on. It's not like I went to his house.
