I get it, Caz. It's just a matter of taste. You (I believe) like linear, descriptive, and narrative texts with a "message" to take home. In fact, Ferretti takes linearity along with narration and turns it into confetti... I’ll give you some advice: try to listen to something by cccp away from the computer, without the pressure of having to respond to a review, and maybe some images will be evoked.

malice, dissociation, boredom, disgust, alienation, depression, exaltation, are some of the sensations that the lyrics of CCCP can evoke. I don't think there has ever been "beauty" as a value to pursue in Ferretti's writing.

If you don't like them for taste reasons, that's understandable, but it seems impossible to me not to recognize their decisive expressive power, a marvelous synthesis, a "hitting the target" with every shot.

I understand your remarks regarding political references (everyone has their own idiosyncrasies, of course), but saying that the CCCP are crap (also) because the lyrics are nonsensical, the themes are always the same, and the monotone way of singing seems a bit rough to me.

if only there were more texts with such little coherence in today's Italian rock. The discourse, in my opinion, changes a lot with Csi, whom I find much less streamlined and more pretentious, although still musically interesting.
