"Casa" with the Morellenbaums was released 2 years ago as an import (it cost a fortune and was hard to find), then last year it became available in the Italian market through regular channels, along with a series of fantastic theater concerts. The CD is beautiful and has been playing tirelessly in my stereo for a year, but I didn't get the live album because I wanted the memory of the concert to stay fresh within me.

No one disputes the importance of the early Oasis albums; they influenced the music of those years so much that only Radiohead have been able to do the same since then. My disappointment lies in the fact that Oasis is now only discussed in tabloid news, just like the Rolling Stones, simply because they are crowned baronets and you see them at the wax museum. But I, who have the presumption (forgive me) of wanting to listen to music now free from hysteria and preconceptions, why should I care to read that now Liam or Noel (I don’t know) is hooking up with Appelton? ....sure, I feel a bit of envy.

I had written so much that I didn't have the motivation to reread myself. Now that I have, I apologize; there are missing commas, periods, and whatever else correct grammar requires. I still hope that the concept is almost clear.

I don't want to be overly polemical, Little, but the concept of a live concert must take into account certain variables that, if they overwhelmingly align positively, allow the "live" experience to succeed. The first is, above all, the context. For instance, I decided not to go see Claudio Abbado in Bolzano because he was playing at the Palasport. You can understand that even though he is one of the best conductors in the world, hearing him - and perhaps even seeing him - in a sports arena would have, for me (and not only me), a negative sonic impact. Similarly, years ago, seeing a punk band in a theater, and even sitting down, was a disaster. So, I saw the U2 (always among 30,000 people) at a concert that wasn't "spectacularized," and it made for a fantastic show (it was Joshua Tree), just as we both saw Zoo TV and had an opposite reaction. This brings me to the second variable: not everyone has the same expectations of a musician at a concert. In the end, certain electronic music, in my opinion, needs to be listened to with care (see J.M.J.), and that can't happen in a place that doesn't render the "sophisticated" musical textures and the "different levels of depth" you've mentioned. For the Chemical Brothers, the situation is obviously different; their ideal "topos" is the nightclub. Just as listening to Vasco Rossi is perfectly fine even from the third tier in the collective frenzy of a packed San Siro. In short: the Air playing in a venue where a truck disappears also made their music disappear. Damn it, why can't I be concise! Shit!!!

What if we had the most outrageous pasquetta ever? I actually know a little hill with a grove that screams: "that's where I do my thing!" where they grow, flourish even in the wild, and are harvested and consumed in either case, grass and mushrooms.
Caz, you’ve surpassed Kosmo; you’ve become my favorite reviewer.

Well done, I agree with Scott's comment. Of course, Kosmo, so many trips and never once in Verona, don't you think it's time to make up for it? I particularly love Sakamoto's musical versatility, and if I write here that I particularly loved the CD where he plays Jobim's music, I'll probably be crushed by the de-baserioti; I guess I'm the only one who likes Brazilian music.

Well... they gave it! And I wish those arrogant little English bastards would just disappear! Damn, I've always had a hard time putting up with Oasis and their girlfriend wannabes with all their ass and curves. I'm sorry kosmo, but I've never been able to stand the attitudes of those two little brothers.

This evening I don't know if I'm more furious or disappointed. For the jazz Mondays in Verona, they were playing the music of Astor Piazzolla Domenico Rea, Enrico Rava, and Co. Damn it, I arrive at the box office of the Filarmonico and it was completely sold out! We (me and a friend) run into the legendary musicians on the way out, we even walked 500m with them trying to be their groupies, but we couldn’t manage to score a free entry or even buy a ticket..... SHIT! And tomorrow night they’re playing in Rome, for those who are lucky enough to see them.

Barry, I'm curious too, but not to hear you sing, rather to see you in the shower :-) Well done vainly, beautiful and interesting review.
