Yes, there is definitely worse, the 175€ of Keith Jarrett at the Fenice in Venice next Wednesday!

I saw him at the arena in Verona on Monday and I confirm everything you wrote: technically impeccable concert, an excellent rhythm section, and remarkable guitar virtuosity, with Robert Cray being a confirmation, but everyone was extremely static and not engaging at all. In short, it was an honest concert, or if you prefer, one that deserves a solid passing grade but nothing more.

I happened to listen briefly to this album, and since this other tribute album doesn't add anything (like all tribute albums, in fact), I decided to leave it on the shelf. From what I read in your review, it seems I made the right choice. Regards, brother Hal.

Already widely commented on is that of Socrates to which I refer, as a great review. For me, Paola's voice is sometimes the only limit of this magnificent record.

At 16, I saw the films of Godfrey Reggio, and they were a shock to me... unfortunately, I've never seen them again, but I've never forgotten them either!

This album is in my all-time top ten (and also on my DeB profile); I’m moved by the lightness with which it is played, and every time I listen to it, I fall into a moment of profound quiet. I bought it as an import because it only arrived in Italy a year after its release, and since then, I haven't stopped listening to it. I saw the trio live, and it was just as exciting, especially hearing Sakamoto perform. However, just like on the album, the only "off" note is her voice; although beautiful and pleasant, it sometimes doesn’t reach the heights it aspires to and is definitely a step below the level of the other two. Other than that, it’s unmissable.

Not exactly an exciting review for such an important album, what a shame.

I was wandering in search of Medeski Martin and Wood and I ended up here. I don't know this CD, I only have End of the World Party which I find a bit monotonous and at times boring, but your review makes me interested in giving this other album a listen. Hi mr_Iko and go Inter!

I listened to this album all the way through, and deep down, it was better to let it go, because, while interesting, it made me realize that it was time to revisit the originals, and at that point, the comparison wouldn't hold up.
