Keith Jarrett Live at Fenice - Venezia 19/7/2006

The Venetian concert was mentioned in the review of "La Scala"; at the time, I was going crazy trying to find those two precious and expensive tickets, but in hindsight, they were completely worth the cost. No, among the many books I've read, that one is missing; if it's worth it, I'll look for it. After all, I have a "slight" predisposition to work among books. Thank you to you and everyone once again for stopping by this page.

I saw it, listened to it quickly, and re-shelved it at fnac... do you think I was wrong to divert my 20 euros towards the new nouvelle vogue? hi hal

Hi Foschicciù, the record isn't bad, a bit monolithic but not bad, however, the ones from the group are something else. Anyway, it's worth the purchase, let's say a solid four considering the others at five (always to stay within the basic meter).

Hal, I would have liked to let you hear part of the concert on the phone, but due to the recording of the concert, there was a very strict security service! They even forced us to turn off our phones during the 20-minute break between acts. Maybe because of us the call would have caused interference on the recording... but perhaps we would have entered the history of music :-)

The physicality in playing is undoubtedly his "trademark," and I must say that at La Fenice, he made extensive use of it, but he manages to imprint a particular timbre on the notes (or at least that’s how it seemed to me). The same goes for his "vocal noises"; in my opinion, it’s a subdued singing, a vocal emphasis on the notes of the piano. But I repeat, these are just my impressions, influenced by the fact that in Venice I was in a (finally) very favorable position in terms of visual and acoustic proximity to the stage, and because during the previous time I saw KJ in concert (Ancona, 2003), I wasn't this close, and he was with the "fantastic trio," meaning he had to restrain himself and couldn’t fully express his personal and physical approach to music as he had to engage with his companions.
@Primiballi the rhetoric of love is given by a series of strong, very private emotions (omississ).

A record I miss, but the review is sublime!

My previous post was written in a rush and not proofread; it's clearly lacking punctuation and the form is terrible. I should have just stuck to the review.

In the meantime, thank you for all the compliments received, specifically: @sfascia :-)) @josi_ the album that will not be released anytime soon, first the concert at Carnegie Hall in 2005 will be published @trell yes the most beautiful concert of my life on par with the aforementioned Pollini one @marco83 then you must have experienced the same emotions as I did, I hope they exclude (even though I fear not) the first long track because it’s too demanding to listen to for half the album at that point everything fits in if you then exclude the one interrupted by the cramp in the finger. The encores, but I could be mistaken, are all three standards and after the problem with the finger I don’t know but I liked it a lot... like everything else, after all.

Already a nice, precise, and timely review, and we let it slip away, the review and the reviewer at the meeting! I think if you saw the '90s pogo (because you’ve never seen the early '80s one!!!) you couldn't have seen all of us; we were all there pogoing (especially the turko) and wearing the obligatory Mameli t-shirt... evidently, we were so ugly, with the exception of G_à, that you rightly avoided us. I also think the concert was performed at a bare minimum, except for Tom "play-dough face" Barnam.

I bought the album today and unfortunately I only listened to it in the car once. For now, but the judgment is hasty, it hasn't convinced me; I'll listen to it again and maybe I'll change my mind.
