Keith Jarrett The Carnegie Hall Concert
Voto:
I listened to this album this morning, but I didn’t buy it due to the excessive price (35€!). At the same moment, I wondered if anyone would write a review on Deb and promised myself to email you about it. I just arrived and see your excellent review, just in time! Maybe we can exchange our latest music purchases.
Madness One Step Beyond
Voto:
Great record and totally messed up at the time. Good memories.
Nouvelle Vague Nouvelle Vague
Voto:
In my opinion, the second one obviously follows in the footsteps of the success of the first and mirrors its patterns, so in terms of originality, we are at zero. However, unlike the first, which dressed typically Anglo-Saxon songs in bossa nova, resulting in, apart from a few very valuable outcomes, some forced musical interpretations, the second one cloaks the songs in an acoustic allure that integrates better with the originals, improving them in some cases over the splendid originals. It is also true that the strength was in the originality of the idea, which is now gone, but in the second one, the acoustic adaptations succeed better from a musical standpoint. Then, as usual, this is just my impression.
Paolo Fresu / Uri Caine Things
Voto:
I find Fresu very talented; to tell the truth, I’ve only seen him perform once, three years ago in Verona. Unfortunately, he doesn't manage to engage me, and I'm having the same experience lately even when listening to Bollani on record. I don't know, perhaps I'm always in search of novelty, and after listening too many times to a musician (Bollani), I get bored unless it's something exceptional. Review, as always, flawless.
Ludwig Van Beethoven Sonata per Violino e Piano No.9 "Kreutzer"
Voto:
I'm sure that trip to Russia must have been very interesting for the flora but especially for the fauna!
Pat Metheny and Ornette Coleman Song X
Voto:
Great review, the album has always been difficult for me, I prefer the harmonic Metheny.
Mogwai Live @ Ostia Antica, 07.09.2006
Voto:
I’m fed up with reading this sea of comments, but I’ll give it a five because it’s trell, because the Mogwai excited me in concert, and because unlike others, I also like them on record.
The Monsters Youth Against Nature
Voto:
I reread everything, both old and new reviews and comments. Oh my, seeing that it was March 2004 filled me with an infinite sadness; I've become "grown-up" (better than old) even on Debaser, and above all, what emotions it brought to attach myself to these pages every night. Panta rei.
Siouxsie and the Banshees Once Upon a Time: The Singles
Voto:
And Israel? Perhaps the best track of all of Siouxsie's work, no one mentioned it. Anyway, it's still a great collection.
Peter Gabriel Passion: Music for the Last Temptation of Christ
Voto:
What a shame, I thought I was the eternal one in your life... well, maybe there's another chance :- )
