In my humble opinion, the opinion of a more-than-fanatic but level-headed person, the Clash are the most COMPLETE band that music has ever produced, not only for their masterful blend of genres, for the personal genius of each member one by one (just think that that gem "Rock the Casbah" was written by Topper...), for their live energy, their colossal social commitment (the Sandinista album is living proof...), their consistency with their ideals, their experimentation, and at the same time their belonging to a well-defined genre such as punk rock (at least as an indelible icon...)... But how many unforgettable tracks have been recorded by Joe and the gang?! And how different are they from each other?! It's almost impossible to make a list...
