I also saw it live and I had the same impression as you.

Exceptional review for a masterpiece. John Zorn is a genius.

The conversation always ends up being about drugs... the strange thing is that the most insane music was made by someone who condemned their use: Zappa.

I agree

Your perspective seems a bit contradictory and too personal to me, although it's not a bad one.

As a psychic, you’re not worth much; I prefer you as a de-reviewer.

It's an album that appeals to all teenagers because it addresses the big issues of life in the way an adolescent would. This is the strength of the album, and it's the reason why it has been so successful (besides the fact that it was made by Pink Floyd). It's a review that's too personal, lacking objective critical sense. It may also be true that The Wall is not a great album, but it's certainly not as you describe it.

I've heard very good things about this album; I will revisit the review after I've listened to it.

Certainly kosmogabry, you fully grasped the meaning... As for the lyrics of Roky's songs, I don't know if there are any websites where you can consult them. The ones I read were in the booklets of his albums. Songs like Don't Slander Me, The Damn Thing, Crazy Crazy Mama, Two Headed Dog, Bloody Hammer, just to name a few, are written in this style. Moreover, the music of each author could be defined with an adjective... Once I was playing this game with friends, and when it came to naming Roky Erickson, the only thing that came to mind was the exclamation mark! After all, the exclamation mark is a "sound."
