I just wanted to say that it seems silly to judge a film like this as if it were a documentary, like you did. I tried to explain to you how one should watch this film, but from your lofty position of arrogance, you are completely oblivious.

Listen, we didn’t understand each other. What is true are the effects, and there’s no doubt about that. I agree with you on the doses... but as I already told you, this is not a documentary about drugs; it’s a fucking movie. Can you tell the difference?

..fuck.. you're really a loser, look, Kitano is a director - actor - host - comedian, he's not a samurai, or do you think all Japanese people are samurai? And about the girls, you only go out on Saturdays and Sundays.. poor thing. When you don't know what else to say, you cling to this nonsense. Anyway, I'm done here, you have too narrow a mindset to have a constructive conversation.

...well... you think I said something stupid, but I don’t. I think you said something stupid about chasing girls (unless they’re virtual since you’re always glued to the keyboard; no need to say you're stuck there because of me)... and it was already clear that you don’t like movies, so you have difficulty grasping their essence. Reading what you say about Kitano on the Trainspotting forum, I understand that you’re not quite on the mark with Kitano either... but hey, to each their own... I forgive you too.

So great an expert on drugs, why don't you write a book? Maybe you're the new William S. Burroughs, I apologize.

I took this beautiful review from the website www.filmscoop.it, because I believe this film deserves more respect, and also because it perfectly explains what it is, and it is certainly not a race to see who can get high more.

I read the book and watched the movie, and first of all, I have to say that we need to stop comparing the two formats; it's not a competition! In any case, this is a story about friends and everything that surrounds them. Sure, drugs are a fundamental component, but to define - label this film just for that is very reductive... moreover, as I see it, the moral is not found in this story (book-movie), but in all the characters who inhabit it (book-movie).

..damn.. you’re really fixated on those damn doses, relax. You didn’t understand anything about the film; you got fixated on counting the doses, just like you counted Rocky’s eggs. Well, I counted Rocky’s eggs too, but this isn’t a Stallone film, it’s a Gilliam film. I repeat my advice: go watch some Bunuel films, then you’ll understand why the line between the real and the truth is very thin... have you ever seen "Children of Violence?"... and one more thing, don’t put all these limitations in your head, like it’s either black or white; try to watch films with a broader perspective, especially when watching this type of film, by Gilliam, Cronenberg, Lynch, Fuller, Kubrick (your comments on Barry already highlighted these limitations), Kitano, Kaurismäki, and all the other greats.

One of my favorite movies, all the ones with Pozzetto are my favorites. I don't like the review though, no hard feelings, but I just don't like the way you write.. even that one about Frank Zappa... we have the same tastes, though.
