greetings to you too.

Odradek, there’s no controversy and I’m not staging any ambush, are you a bit paranoid? Regarding Una Storia Vera, when I state that it’s one of the most Lynchian films out there, I am completely convinced of what I’m saying, and anyone who knows Lynch’s work well would surely agree with me. The fact that there are no supervillains, mysteries, or elephant men or dwarfs means nothing; the way the film is shot, on the other hand, does, and Lynch's hand is very evident. Also, I never said the film doesn’t exist (cuore selvaggio); I simply stated that it hasn’t been released on DVD yet. If we want to say it’s available on VHS or downloaded from some program online, that’s another issue and one I’m not interested in. If you, who say the film is found everywhere, could tell me where I can find it (buy it), that would be helpful.

eMule, what is it?

I see that there are very differing opinions on Lynch's films; personally, I appreciate all of them, even the most different one, which is Dune, and certainly not Una Storia Vera, which is one of the most Lynchian of all. The shorts are also beautiful; let’s hope that sooner or later someone decides to put them on DVD, just like that delight called Hotel Room and the hilarious On The Air.

In Italy, the only Lynch films that have not been released on DVD are Eraserhead and Wild at Heart... that's why it's hard to find them, simply because they don't exist.

Of course I saw it, and Truffaut was right. You see, the history of cinema is made by the audience; every director, every actor, every cinematographer, every producer must first be an audience member, and Truffaut knew this well. It's only right that every spectator voices their opinion.

Why must we necessarily choose one film and make comparisons? Wild at Heart is beautiful just like Blue Velvet is, and all of his films, Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, and this one are already part of cinema history; everything that Lynch has done has gone down in history, he is one of the most innovative authors, it's obvious that it is so. Then why compare Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction? They are two beautiful films, both different, but while Reservoir Dogs was inspired by other models, Pulp Fiction was inspired by Wild at Heart.
