The 5 albums from Bowie's Berlin period are Low, Heroes, Lodger, The Idiot, and Lust For Life (the last two with Iggy Pop), and this is absolutely up for agreement.

JohnOfPatmos I, on the other hand, defend my inner feelings very strongly, but like Leonard, I don't trust them either... they come and go..

you see you only know how to insult. I hope what you say is true so you won't bother me anymore. goodbye.

You see, Odradek, you are truly ridiculous and presumptuous. In my comments, I always talk about music, and this time I also tried to provide objective reasons why this is a great album, without making comparisons to the past, which, by the way, genuinely includes albums with great songs but with horrible sounds and arrangements (that one with Spector!) and questionable at the time and terribly dated today (I'm Your Man), just to name two examples... So, as you can see, this is a constant in Cohen's discography. His albums have always faced criticism for the arrangements, the production, and even the "false" musical banality mentioned in the first post. If you, dear "professor" of the Italian language, get annoyed at being contradicted instead of acknowledging that you've said something foolish in your post, then that's your business. Stay in your ignorance and keep spewing venom at those who don’t think like you. I repeat, I talk about music; you, however, offend and cling to anything as long as it’s not music. I’ll say it once and for all: if you want to talk about music, fine; otherwise, avoid it because your paranoia and frustrations as a failed intellectual and moralist do not interest me.

No, it doesn't happen to me when talking about Iggy Pop.

First you forget, then you remember... you’re a bit confused.

Odradek and ptr, I apologize for having bothered you with my comment, and I regret being so "categorical" because I understand that the album may or may not please. However, as a friend of mine says, it’s certainly not a matter of tastes or points of view when trying to be objective; the truth is that your statements widely distort Cohen's "historic" discography. P.S. Anyway, Odradek, don’t be surprised, but I also fully agree with your comment because every time I read you, I find myself having exactly the same feelings you have when you read mine.
