For me, a masterpiece; there isn't a single song out of place, the lyrics are beautiful and inspired as always, the album is played and produced perfectly.

This album is so exaggerated, possessed by God, that it transcends the boundary between the ridiculous and reaches masterpiece status. A cult, there's no need to add anything more... actually, for a certain Dylan-esque figure named Nick Cave, it’s an essential record!

The album, all in all, is enjoyable, and not every record contains a song like Every Grain of Sand... if there were many albums with at least one beautiful song like this, then I would agree with your rating... but the reality is different.

A beautiful review that perfectly describes the dark and disenchanted (but not devoid of irony) atmosphere of this wonderful album. Just for the beginning, with that You Will Miss Me When I Burn, this record deserves top marks, but as the review points out, in just over half an hour Oldham delivers a handful of beautiful songs that, with their desolate and raw nature, become even more captivating. Though I must admit that I find the versions on Greatest Palace Music sublime and terribly entertaining, so 5 stars for that album as well, in my opinion, stunning.

An almost useless record.

You made me want to listen to it again.

Horrible review, I hope written just to provoke, because if you truly believe what you've written, it means you really don't understand music at all. Tasteless and mindless.

I share everything.
