Martin Scorsese The Departed

It's just a remake, the original is better.
Jim Jarmusch Dead Man

Hal Hartley is an independent director-writer like Jarmusch, but he also takes on writing the soundtracks for his films, somewhat like Carpenter. His films are very interesting; I recommend Trust and Simple Men.

Yes, it's true, Mystery Train is really beautiful, I believe it is also available on DVD.

The soundtrack is famous only because it's by Neil Young, but it could have been done by anyone, much better and always in this genre but much more original, like Hal Hartley's. Let's say it's borrowed from Hal Hartley. The film, I repeat, is definitely the least beautiful in my opinion. Stranger Than Paradise, Down By Law, Night On Earth are on another level and have beautiful soundtracks (John Lurie and Tom Waits). Ghost Dog is his most successful film, and the last Broken Flowers only highlights Jarmusch's flaws, but it's worth watching for the presence of the great Bill Murray in a fantastic performance, unlike Depp, who seems completely out of place in Dead Man. Anyway, Dead Man has great cinematography, perhaps the best thing about the film.

Festwca is difficult to explain to you why it’s pretentious, because you’re not familiar with Jarmusch’s cinema, something that was already clear from the review. I, on the other hand, have followed him since his early works and can say I’ve seen all his films. Despite the great expectations, the impressive cast, the soundtrack, etc., when I watched it, I was quite disappointed. It’s as if Jarmusch, in trying to make a film more accessible to everyone, ended up highlighting all his shortcomings—shortcomings he still carries today (especially the inconsistency of the plot), making a film that, compared to his others, feels banal, seasoned with superficial and adolescent philosophy, while his other works are more poetic and existential. Banal is also a term that fits well with Young's soundtrack, and even though he is a great musician, it’s clear he is not a composer of film scores; it comes off as amateurish.

beautiful the naked kiss, just like 40 guns, his latest beautiful film Strada senza ritorno, perhaps the most beautiful rock film ever made and above all that immortal masterpiece of il Grande Uno Rosso....but the list is long. Great Fuller!
Luis Buñuel Il Fascino Discreto Della Borghesia

David Lynch Eraserhead

There’s nothing further from the "typical genre director" than Samuel Fuller. This cult classic is definitely one of the most beautiful films he made.
John Waters Pink Flamingos

absolute masterpiece, a true work of art.
