Leonard Cohen Dear Heather
Voto:
There was already a (nice) review of this album; this one, however, is not only useless but also poorly done. The album is definitely very beautiful, like everything Cohen has done.
Modest Mouse We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
Voto:
for now the best album of the year.
Thomas Vinterberg Festen - Dogme #1
Voto:
Anyway, even dear Wendy, the latest film by Vinterberg, is very beautiful. And the screenplay by Lars von Trier is fantastic. I understand that this character may be unlikable to many, but there’s no doubt that he is very talented, original, and not afraid to go "beyond" with his perspective.
Thomas Vinterberg Festen - Dogme #1
Voto:
Festen, Mifune, The Idiots, The King is Alive, and the other Dogma films find their strength precisely in the screenplay. Memento, I'm sorry, but I think you're wrong after all. Both Mifune and The King is Alive have perfect screenplays, just like Festen, and indeed they were written by Jensen (as were the scripts of the films directed by him, including his latest, Adam's Apples), who, without exaggeration, is certainly the most talented screenwriter out there in the world. In short, let's give Caesar what belongs to Caesar...
Federico Fellini Amarcord
Voto:
great movie, but it has definitely been overrated.
LCD Soundsystem Sound of Silver
Voto:
I listened to it and I have to say that it didn't seem like a great album to me.
Abel Ferrara Fratelli (The Funeral)
Voto:
Surely this (not only for the performances but especially for the screenplay) and Bad Lieutenant are Ferrara's best works, right after King of New York. The Addiction, on the other hand, I believe is one of the worst films he has made, boring, pretentious in its cheap intellectualism, and ridiculous as a screenplay.
Marco Ferreri Non Toccare La Donna Bianca
Voto:
one of Ferreri's weakest films.
Abel Ferrara Fratelli (The Funeral)
Voto:
the best film by abel ferrara, also thanks to the performances, in which the purest talent of vincent gallo shines.
Spike Jonze Adaptation (Il Ladro Di Orchidee)
Voto:
this is a film that I truly hated, a manipulative and pretentious movie, without any coherence, one of the worst views I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing.
