Well, great review. The album is among my ABSOLUTE favorites.

I'm glad you like the proposal.
Let’s just say that the previous albums aren’t as good as this one, and also that not all the tracks are top-notch... But then you listen to tracks like "Cose da non fare al gatto" (a hit worthy of MTV) or absolute masterpieces like "O Caramellaio," "Il Canto del Bidone," or "Avventura Nel Buco Nero."
Anyway, phenomenal.
As for the reviews, well, after about 4 years (the last review was on April 13, 2005), my "creative" urge to write has returned, and I hope it makes you want to listen to some of the artists I talk about!

It drove me crazy. I've been listening to it for a short time, and maybe in a week, once the surprise effect wears off, I'll get bored. Anyway, it remains something remarkable and definitely original.
Some lyrics are splendid!

UHUHPANICOUHUH, mine was a provocation, although, to be honest, apart from Vangelis and a few other exceptions (Gladiator with Lisa Gerrard), I don’t often listen to soundtracks…
In most cases, they are either a maxi compilation that, as cool as it is, remains a compilation (think of Trainspotting) or is "too" linked to the film. In other words, it's hard to listen to it on its own.
Then there are beautiful exceptions like The Fountain, but we're still talking about exceptions.
Finally, you're right when you say that music as a soundtrack contributes greatly to the film and its visuals, but that music was born to support something else (albeit an important one). It’s not an end in itself (unless we’re talking about the aforementioned compilation soundtracks).
In short, I've written a jumbled mess as usual. sorry.
