It seems to me that we are saying the same thing; the pieces are slow crescendos that gradually build in intensity until they explode. At least for me, tracks like Commutual blood or Black dunes have this effect. Don't you think?

For me, one of the albums of the year, and like you, I believe that TWDY are one of the few acts that still have something to say in the post-rock realm. I instead recommend everyone to see them live, where their sound hits you directly without filters, blowing you away. Little Smoke, song of the year.

Great album. The first time I listened to it, I didn't know it was by an ex-Slint member, and although you say it's light years away from Spiderland, something resonates. I thought of Plagio. Then I understood. Great record anyway.
