Donald Fagen The Nightfly
Voto:
I've never been too excited about Steely Dan. I only own three albums (Pretzel Logic, Aja, and Gaucho), but they don't evoke many emotions in me. Sometimes I think that it's the lived experiences that convey certain otherwise inexplicable feelings. I experienced The Nightfly in 1982; I bought it immediately, and to this day, I love it. As for Steely Dan, I can't say the same. In the 70s, I was a kid, like many others, into progressive rock, not to mention the fact that I only listened to cassette tapes and money was always tight. Honestly, I didn’t know Steely Dan back then. I've discovered them later, but, as I said, they leave me rather cold.
Radiohead Ok Computer
Voto:
For me, Radiohead died with this masterpiece, even though I slightly prefer the previous The Bends. From Kid A onwards, they started experimenting and personally, I found them quite lukewarm. I’ve always wondered if they had run out of ideas or if it was Thom Yorke’s mind that was searching for new paths. I think they had run out of ideas, given that Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief operate on the same coordinates as Kid A and frankly, the result is just so-so.
Bruce Springsteen Born In The Usa
Voto:
Not the best album by the Boss, but definitely a solid record. It was the album of Bruce's explosion, with packed stadiums and cheering crowds. Perhaps that's why it's a bit hated by the longtime fans. But the album is excellent. Good review but overly enthusiastic.
Queen Made in Heaven
Voto:
Neil Young is one of the three or four greatest rockers still around. Alongside Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, and very few others. With this, I’ll close and won’t respond to you anymore. Someone who mixes Cesare Cremonini, Morgan, Caparezza, etc. with NEIL YOUNG truly understands nothing about music. It would be like mixing Dustin Hoffman with Alvaro Vitali. Or Maradona with Ficcadenti.

Before talking about Neil Young, perhaps it’s better if you go listen to his entire discography. It will take you a week, but then, maybe, I repeat maybe, you won’t mix him up with those names you mentioned. SHAME ON YOU!
Suzi Quatro Can the Can
Voto:
The only song I know by Suzi, if I remember the title correctly, I think it's "Devil Gate Drive." It was one from the festival, as long as my memory serves me right. I wouldn’t think that this girl could have such a strong influence on anyone. Anyway, lovely review.

Sure, reading your reviews on Queen would make it seem like a really great band.

Eels Blinking Lights And Other Revelations
Voto:
Poetic review, even though it’s not clear what kind of music might be on this album. I've always been scared of works, shall we say, encyclopedic. 33 songs is a lot. But Mr. E has talent and his previous works are at least delightful.
I hope it’s 22 euros well spent.
Tom Waits Closing Time
Voto:
Sorry, but I just can't stand Tom Waits. I've tried multiple times to get into Rain Dogs, Blue Valentine, Swordfishtrombones, and Mule Variations, but nothing doing. It's just not for me.

Il Mucchio Extra has included this record among the hundred worst albums of all time. Don’t hold it against me. That's what they say.
