Suzanne Vega Solitude Standing
Voto:
Suzanne Vega started off strong with her self-titled debut, which, to be honest, went somewhat under the radar. She then continued just as well with this album (slightly inferior), but gradually lost her way with decidedly bland works. I don’t even remember how many other albums I have of hers. But if I don’t recall them, there must be a reason. Whatever happened to her?

Damn, recommend me three albums by Frank Zappa.

You're right, Socrates, today there are a lot of nice reviews unlike those truly infamous days. But I also have work to do, unfortunately.

I might be hard to please and have particular tastes, but lately, I've been finding a lot of scarcity around. Plus, since I can't "borrow" records, I think ten times before spending 18-20 euros on a new release, considering that for a modest 10 euros you can pretty much get the entire history of music. Soul Mining is nonetheless my favorite by The The. Pure animal instinct.

I didn't think you liked Husker Du. I only have Candy Apple Grey but I don't like it. I also have a solo work by Bob Mould and that one is gathering dust too. For those interested, there's a nice retrospective on this band in the current issue of Mucchio Extra. When I hear the word hardcore, I may be a pervert, but my thoughts go in other directions since I hear very little that is musical.

If your "lending" were to mean downloading, I’d be in trouble there too, because I’m still using analog. Nothing else reaches my depressed country. For now, in the future who knows.

She was also excited that Piero Pelù had surprised everyone by coming on stage to sing "Il mio nome è mai più." Ligabue was missing.

Blessed are you for having such friendships. In my circle, we barely reach Jovanotti and Piero Pelù. Just last night, a colleague of mine went to Florence to see Jovanotti, and when I asked her if she liked it, she replied, "So so so much." Amen!

Round and round, I bought it on cdbox (€23.24), what the hell! Me, who's always on the hunt for the cheap record, damn me. I think I've never spent so much on a record before. We'll catch up soon for the comments.

My favorites are "The Good Son" and "The Boatman's Call." Just for the record.
