Wow, Frou Frou isn't reviewed here. I wonder why I was convinced it was.

I find Maxinquaye beautiful, unlike the subsequent Pre-millennium which, at the time, disappointed me quite a bit. Too dark and gloomy. I've seen Roni Size a thousand times around but I've never picked him up because, as you rightly point out, he leans heavily towards drum n'bass. I followed Hooverphonic until The Magnificent Tree and then lost track of them. However, I find the two previous ones a bit superior. A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular and Blue Wonder Power Milk. Anyway, it's a matter of nuances. I've never considered Goldie's Timeless for the same reason as Roni Size. Perhaps I'll give it a preview. I have all the Morcheeba albums from when Skye was still with them. My favorite is Big Calm, by a notch over the others. I'll mention a couple of names to you. The Mandalay are very good, both with Empathy and with Instinct. And Frou Frou is really talented (despite a ridiculous name) with their only album, Details, reviewed here. Of the Massive Attack, my favorite is Protection. I've bought many others, but in most cases they are simply mere epigones. Yes, well, for lovers of the genre or a bit more. Okay, we’ve gorged ourselves on trip-hop. Ah! Go listen to Londinium again because, for me, it deserves quite a bit. Bye.

Can you tell me your favorite albums in the trip-hop genre? Do you know Londinum by Archive? I also categorized it as trip-hop, partly for the same reasons you mentioned, but in reality, it's quite distant from Portishead and Massive Attack. There was a time when I was searching for everything related to trip-hop. Just to say, I even bought the Supreme Beings Of Leisure.

@sorciopeloso. When I read the review of amebix-monolith, it took me a while to understand what it meant and that it was an album. Alas!

@andrewramone I only realized it after I had posted, so my comment is completely out of place since it wasn't directed at this record, your opinion. Anyway: 1) I don't understand why you came here to respond to a post that appeared on YOUR review. Otherwise, only you and he understand what you're saying to each other. 2) Private messages exist, so you can avoid any misunderstandings and speak directly with the person involved. Thank you.

@andrewramone (what's your gender?) I don't recall saying in the review that we're facing something incredible and unprecedented. Anyway, if you give 4 stars to Linkin Park, I can also give 4 to Texas. And it's not my fault if you end up with a series of insults in your reviews.

Oops...I hadn't read the comments. Many are saying that this is not trip-hop. In fact, there is nothing here from the great Portishead. Sorry.

I also bought this record thinking it was trip-hop (which you listed as the genre). In my opinion, there’s nothing trip-hop in here. Anyway, it's good.

In my opinion, it's a step forward compared to the nonetheless valid debut, which sounded a bit too slapped together like a homework assignment.

I missed this. I'll look for it calmly and comfortably. Tourist is a good album.
