You gave the same rating, just fifteen minutes apart, to one of the most electrifying debuts in rock history (this one) and to an epitaph of a band that was already at the end of its road, responsible for an album that, aside from a couple of tracks, was rather hastily put together, when the band no longer existed (Beatles - Let It Be). Well!

Well done, captain! The first album I listened to by Orton was Daybreaker, and it's the one I still consider her best (if for no other reason than it contains the amazing Paris Train). This has never captivated me that much. Even Comfort Of Strangers is a step back compared to Daybreaker.

Beautiful album. Personally, I would have extended some tracks significantly, considering that the sax riff allows for it. Some don't even reach three minutes.

A thank you to everyone. It's a shame that this album, considered a must in the genre, is so little known. Many will recognize the theme from Shaft, released shortly after this. A very famous instrumental that has been revived for various uses in the following years, even on TV. As for the character, he has always floated between music and cinema, and I’m not surprised that in his old age he also ventured into voice dubbing for cartoons. His behavior is outrageous if things are indeed as you say.

I don't really understand what you mean.

@GATTINATOR At Nannucci it costs 8.90. On cdbox it costs 8.62. Well, today nobody wants to pay for music anymore, but at these prices, it’s reasonable.
Elton John Honky Chateau

Just yesterday, I had the chance to criticize the revival (or at least the legitimization of certain quality music) of ABBA, thinking precisely, as a point of comparison, of Elton John. I was told that I care more about appearances than substance. If there ever was a "clown" on stage, I believe Elton John is the prime suspect. That said, I cannot refrain from considering the British bespectacled pop star's music (in the strict sense, the chart-topping kind) to have far more depth than that of the Swedish duo. Songs like "Rocket Man" and "Monna Lisa And Mad Matters" featured here are the quintessence of tasteful pop, but the singles scattered by Elton over forty years of career are countless. A theory that, as far as I'm concerned, I cannot apply to ABBA. I didn't understand anything from the review.

This time, captain, I truly share very little of what you're asserting. I was there in the seventies, and I remember them quite well. And unfortunately, I also remember the people who listened to ABBA. Now it's trendy to revive everything that has passed, trash or not. This is 100% trash. Just thinking about how they presented themselves still sends shivers down my spine. A cross between Little Red Riding Hood and the Pirates of the Caribbean. Before we shoot down Britney Spears, let's wait thirty years. Who knows if we will also reevaluate her.

Come on, little mouse, don't take it the wrong way... I was joking. I hope that, in the end, this seclusion of yours will be worth it. Good luck with your thesis, it should be coming up soon. Sorry for the camera.

@sorciopeloso. You see, if you had listened to my advice, maybe you would know these punks. But you never take my word for it :-)
