but you really have nothing else to do... other than banding together and hiding behind the medium... and I repeat, I was exchanging a couple of opinions/clarifications with easycure... to make it a joke, I go to a site that talks about something else... like about Inter... anyway, if this is how you have your fun... no offense, but you smell a bit like losers...

It's problematic to understand each other when writing, but, perhaps thanks to the albums you mentioned, I've gathered that from your point of view you could never give proper weight to an album like this, and RIGHTLY SO. However, since I've noticed that people comment more on what the reviewer did rather than the album itself, let me say that someone with a perspective like yours shouldn’t be reviewing, except maybe on a very niche site, what do I know, for example if the discussion is about slo-core from morning till night... at least in my opinion. That said, I repeat: now that I've seen how this site works, I can tell you that as you see things, you’re right, but precisely because of your viewpoint, I think that the next time a Franz Ferdinand album comes out... just leave the reviews alone... or at least don’t engage in discussions with people who adore Interpol, because you won’t change their minds about either them or FF, nor they will change yours. And if someone like me passes by, just tell him to take a hike regardless, without arguing back (even though I don’t adore Interpol, but as you might have gathered, I appreciated the work of FF).

I believe you weren't paying attention to my previous comments; otherwise, you wouldn't have understood my point about valid reviews equating to a valid album (by the way, the sources I drew from seem to give the Keane scores that rightly range from zero to zero point zero... I wouldn't exactly throw the Coldplay away, frankly). For the rest, I can agree with you, except for the fact that the albums you mentioned are not comparable to that of Franz Ferdinand. That's where I can't seem to make you understand what I meant about how a review cannot give such a low score to the FF. Because a review is not a personal comment; I know the Pearl Jam are a bit better than the FF, but whether you like it or not, this is the album that will be remembered from 2004, one that has at least brought back some people to a certain type of music, that forced MTV - starting from an indie label - to put something decent on at 4 PM, and that might save some kid from the clutches of Eminem and 50 Cent... that doesn't seem like a small thing to me. Maybe that kid, starting from there, will discover that he likes rock... and maybe he will even come to know Slint... maybe not, but at least he approached something that isn't "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?".

easycure, listening to it more carefully, I have to agree with you... mediocre... but why are you stuck on the fact that the perfect album of 2000 shouldn't have references to the '80s or '70s? I don't get it... and then track 1 wouldn’t have these references and therefore would be a bomb? I don’t know...

Yes, you got me... I spent my WHOLE childhood in front of the nightclubs... and I couldn’t wait to throw some punches... anyway, my point was more about objectivity... I’m not a fourteen-year-old who spends all day listening to the FF just because the video is playing on MTV (and by the way, where do you even see all these plays?? It’s not like they’re Linkin Park or something...)... especially since I couldn’t see it while being in front of the nightclubs. That said, I don’t feel like clarifying anymore... I just want to reiterate that I took another look around (not at your stuff like NME, which I don’t even know what it is) and yes. Yours is the only negative review I found... and more than one newspaper, including French, Spanish, and Catalan (I am Catalan), lists it as the best album of the year... regardless of personal taste. Cheers... I’m off to beat up someone who listens to GGDAG.

You'll be the Milanese in my botheration... and since you’re butting in... I purposely wrote it like the little header above that told me to read its review of the Afterhours. PS if I didn’t know how to spell the name of a band like that, maybe I would brag about it... DIZZY.
