I feel the conversation is getting a bit absurd, I'm going to wrap it up here.

It’s impossible to question the why and the how; I only know that during the recordings, the drummer might ask Syd, “Hey, how do you want us to play this?” and Syd would reply, “Yeah, yeah…” Just try to produce an album under these conditions.

During the recordings of Piper he was in a sound mind; by the time of Madcap, he was unable to record without someone constantly following him. And it feels... Madcap is a desperate attempt by friends to make him do something again, but it essentially failed. It's sad, but that's how it is.
