Nu-Metal wasn't all trash... I think about the early Korn, Deftones, RATM, Linea77. We needed some good old-fashioned anger after all the baroque virtuosities of '80s metal... sometimes you just need someone to come in, flush all the old stuff down the toilet, and give everything a good rinse. Anyway, Nu-Metal was born and died within 5 or 6 years, just before the various POD, Linkin Park, and all the other rubbish popped up like mushrooms to ruin the vibe. We're already onto Nu-Nu-Metal… :D
