In a few months, I think I’ll also give a 1 to this record... I’ve already dropped to a 2 in my review and I have the faintest idea of not accepting this change of direction from the Marlene; in fact, let’s say I’m not at all satisfied since "Senza Peso." The songs seem to lack structure, truly devoid of nerve, and not because they are light and soft — slow songs have always been written by our band, and the same "Bellezza" remains one of the few happy moments of the album, but they lack spleen, verve, energy… would you tell me that there are choruses or melodic parts worthy of their name??? Very few cases, a maximum of 3 or 4, are valid; the rest gets lost in anonymity, in an album that rarely evokes emotion and feels like an orange that has been squeezed down to the peel, and I’m talking about my favorite Italian band, not just any group (otherwise I wouldn’t even analyze the issue). The album has already exhausted me; even today I listened to it twice in a row, but nothing sticks in my mind in a dignified way; everything flows by quite anonymously… "are we at track 5?" no, at the end of track 2, no! Come on Marlene, no: second misstep (third if we count the EP "Fingendo la Poesia")!!!

Listened to it 2 times in a row again today: I’m really sorry that this album doesn’t resonate with me as I hoped it would: it’s slightly better than "Senza Peso" but definitely inferior to "Che cosa vedi"; tracks without substance, sound illusions that seem about to take flight but never do, few recognizable features, among which fortunately the consistently above-average lyrics and certain guitar phrases...4 tracks of which 2 are great and then emptiness. I think 2 weeks of daily listening are more than enough; I repeat that the acid test now will be the venue where I fear an additional flattening. The album test had an extremely high expectation and I now see a very dark future, a bit like it was for Pearl Jam: after the first 4 albums that made me fall in love, they relegated their sound in favor of monotony and whines, a huge disappointment...why Marlene are you doing this to me???

A review of Vasco came out on deBaser??? WE'RE COMMENTING ON IT, and since it's on the podium of what I absolutely hate the most, I'm really going to go for it: same with Ligabue, who I dislike so much that if a review of his comes out, I'm going to tear it apart!

I completely agree, the album is well played but it's impossible for me to listen to it all in one go, it's heavy. The tracks, then, are not all up to par...
