The discourse on the Japanese is so vast that even I don’t feel like tackling it, but even there, you’ve been terribly superficial: you can’t even imagine what boils in Japanese culture after the two bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the need for certainties, the fear of an infected and radioactive future, the attraction to mechanics.
