five is too much. three and a half which I round down to three because there’s too little beat for my taste.

oh okay. I didn't know about this and I've always thought of a quote even in the original. thanks for the clarification.

Alright Solomon, I needed to open two: one to explain what I wanted to say, the other for a different note (the quote, but I think Happy is making fun of me, it’s taken from A Clockwork Orange). Anyway, it’s a comment and not a review (otherwise I wouldn’t have done it), it would be like me annoying you because you wrote "Ghmeison" and not Ghemison.

Yes, perhaps The Man Who Wasn't There is slightly better. But this film is terrifying. The reworking of the noir is total: the protagonist is at the mercy of events (the dream where he gets swallowed by the bowling ball and rolls rolls rolls is metaphorical), and no one is what they seem (just think about the real Big Lebowski, the fake rich man and the fake powerful man at the mercy of his daughter). The gaze is moral, okay, but on whom does it rest? Rarely does it criticize Donny (when he listens to the bowling match on headphones, an extreme surreal nothing of a laid-back life) (and I’d say that the protagonist's nickname is perhaps the first quote from the film); much more often it falls on other characters: the hypocritical and violent sheriff, the Big Lebowski, his wife (the nymphomaniac) and the daughter (to a lesser extent, as she is the only one who accepts, and not just that, poor Donny as he is). In short, it is the powerful who come off badly, not the losers (Walter is nothing more than a war veteran severely traumatized by the war and the divorce, Buscemi a poor sociopath at the mercy of his friend, the Nihilists a poorly organized gang trying to make some money while really only hurting themselves – whose finger is it that got cut off?). And Donny finds himself unwittingly caught in situations and among characters that overwhelm him (who is the real architect of the damage? The Big Lebowski first and foremost, followed closely by Walter). And then, moral or not, cinema is made here in grand style, creating suggestions and situations that are as paradoxical as they are epochal. Added to all this is Joel's directorial mastery (because he is the director, while Ethan produces and they write together), just think of the wonderful dream sequences. A detailed but sterile and repetitive review: it's not enough to list the quotes to describe a film, nor the soundtrack and the cast (besides, this film comes before the always excellent O Brother, Where Art Thou?). A purely frivolous and personal comment: this film is one of the most fitting to watch while enjoying, precisely, two or three joints... eh heh heh.

You're right about this, the crossover tracks aren't anything special, but it's still a nice album where nothing sounds too out of place. It has two or three truly fantastic gems: the opener Boogie Man, Sex Love And Money, and the track that samples What's Going On (I think it's called Modern Marvel).

check out the track (you can find both the video of the arrest and the one of the track, titled Katrina Klap). come on, it’s not bad... very classic, no-frills hip-hop. anyway, I like The New Danger...
