Os Mutantes Os Mutantes

everyone went crazy for Lost! nice little page dear Psycho, you really piqued my interest even though you're discussing topics quite distant from my current nature. I'll mention a group that isn't too bad in the tropicalista scene of the late seventies. As Mercenarias, pure Brazilian post-punk!!!

you already know, right?
AA.VV. The Million Dollar Hotel: Music From The Motion Picture

your tastes are nothing short of pitiful. unfortunately, the movie is bad, but the soundtrack is really good: here the U2 have produced their last decent works and the MDH Band is truly heterogeneous and valid (although Lanois and Eno dominate above all). The Ground Beneath Her Feet is beautiful and moving, Anarchy in The USA changed my life and even Lou Reed's cover makes sense sung by Milla. bye...

Nice little page! Baby Brown is delightful, and now I’ll also think about getting the record, maybe as soon as the price goes down a bit.
Miles Davis Tutu

what an intriguing page, albeit a bit confusing. let's say you're diving into quite thorny and dangerous issues (are we sure that being present leads to greater awareness and not just a more intense participation?), which I don’t feel like tackling right now. regarding the album, I’ll copy/paste the comment I posted on the other review: "this Tutu is a great album. more than an electronic record (which here acts more as an instrument, just like Miller's magnificent bass) it seems to me a new-wave album... those cold atmospheres, those slightly syncopated rhythms..."

A review rich in interesting insights but extremely heavy and tedious, also written ignoring many punctuation rules. A fundamental album with a Garcia in exceptional form... still made me want to listen to it again like crazy.
Arthur Russell Another Thought
Voto:
I miss this album (anyway, the 5 for Arthur is a default). I have First Thought Best Thought, Calling Out Of Context, and World Of Echo (which is in the top ten of my life). I adore this man; to me, he is something sublime and transcendental: I will never fully comprehend him, but his voice and his cello write in my soul words of love and life, lifting my skin and entering within me, leaving me bare and exposed... I love Arthur Russell; he was the greatest, and no one will ever be that perfect again...

nice little page for a dark yet intriguing proposal. have you heard the new W-Tang, have you? yes, not many of us care about hip-hop, but do go on talking about these things because you are truly welcome!
David Darling Cello

beautiful evocative page. I have only heard bits of him in the soundtrack of Until The End Of The World. Instead, I lean on Odra's comment to support the skill and greatness of Arthur Russell (The World Of Echo is simply a stratospheric album).
Sylvain Chomet La Vielle Dame Et Les Pigeon

Nice little page and a great proposal... I'll arrive afterwards anyway, of Chomet I only know the beautiful Belleville Rendez-vous. @Antipirla: if you approach it this way, you can't say that you're better than him.
