Brian De Palma The Black Dahlia
Voto:
I agree with Psycho, Bjorky, and those who say it's not a successful film. From a book like that, one would expect a true masterpiece... instead, De Palma makes everything excessively virtuous and sterile, beautiful shots but zero depth. The book is another world: one of the few books that really terrified me. Rating 2.5, which I round up to 3 because I love Scarlet, sorry...
The Chemical Brothers B-Sides Volume 1
Voto:
Knowing Daft Punk or Prodigy, Chemical or Underworld doesn't seem to cover the entire electronic landscape of the nineties. Sure, they are groups that operate within similar coordinates... but you're forgetting a wealth of groups or artists that in the last decade made a significant impact (staying in England, two artists come to mind who, under various pseudonyms, have given much more to the world while receiving less applause: Andrew Weatherall and Luke Vibert). To anyone who draws up an electronic ranking of the '90s and leaves out Landcruising by Craig, I can only say to delve deeper (without mentioning Peace Orchestra or Boards Of Canada, Asian Dub Foundation or Mouse On Mars).
The Chemical Brothers B-Sides Volume 1
Voto:
I think you’ve only listened to them when it comes to electronics. I admit I might be a bit biased... but for me, you’re exaggerating (not only regarding this album, which is ultimately a collection of b-sides and doesn’t necessarily mean that the Chemicals have regained their edge): I find Underworld and Leftfield to be definitely superior in the genre... and above all much less clever by half, more uncompromising and profound. The Chemicals want to please everyone, and you can really feel that in their tracks. Unreadable review (break bit?! It's spelled BREAK-BEAT. Setting aside the massacre of subjunctives and a truly exhausting rhythm that tires you out after three lines).

I agree with Alessio, except that I give 4.5 to Che Cosa Vedi (my first approach to Marlene). Anyway, this and Il Vile are amazing.

Rob Zombie La Casa dei 1000 Corpi

I quite enjoyed the film, considering it's not my genre... I haven't seen the next one, but I've heard great things about it.

First, I'll take care of some vintage electro purchases and then I'll get this... for the rest, I fully agree with Grant and Vivis (except for the Offlaga). @Easy: but when they released Sussidiario Illustrato Della Giovinezza, they weren't exactly well-known... and there was a lot of quality there.
