terribly mollichian review.

rather mediocre film indeed. In my opinion, it is saved from being insufficient thanks to the colors, the story, and its moral implications. However, it is still weighed down by a rather banal screenplay and the presence of Tom Cruise, who is indeed the true Midas of Crap.

Damn Natalie Portman naked and with super short hair... "Maybe it's not really legal, you know, but you're beautiful covered in bruises."

more films compared to Steve Zissou (whose soundtrack review is my work) definitely, more mature and better structured. yet less brilliant and eccentric. 4.5 to both films, I round up out of affection. I’ll come back to read the review later, now I have to study.
Darren Aronofsky Requiem for a Dream
Voto:
The only one by Aronofsky that I'm missing, let's say that everyone describes it as a punch to the gut and that doesn’t really encourage me (especially not at this time). I also tried to read the book, but I was probably a bit too young to understand anything. Anyway, just the other night I watched The Fountain: okay, it’s not on the level of Pi, but it’s really an emotional film. I agree with almost everything Kosmo said about it, especially regarding Hackman's tremendous performance (damn, he pretty much carries the whole film on his own).
