I don't know what you mean by today's New York scene... and honestly, I can't think of a cohesive or grouped one. For example, the Strokes don't say much to me, and I don't find them very heterogeneous (on the contrary...), while groups offering intriguing mixes from the Big Apple, like Dub Trio, these TOTR, Matisyahu, and even A.R.E. Weapon gave it a shot without much success. And especially Dalek, perhaps the best thing to come out of New York in this five-year span. Yet, I don't feel like I'm talking about a single scene; I would rather say that these groups have little to do with each other... I don't know, dear Kid-A. But I do feel quite sorry that I have yet to listen to the first TOTR (which is waiting to be mastered) or anything by the Liars. Anyway, thanx at all!
