Anyway, the director, Zack Snyder, is making Watchmen based on Moore's monumental work (the foundation, along with Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, for the entire future of substantial superhero comics: let's say the introduction of psychology and real society into the world of superheroes)... I really want to see how the hell he pulls it off.

The comic is honestly a little crappy, especially when compared to Sin City, but the film is of a whole different caliber: there’s a remarkable sense of balance for such a commercial work, the rhetoric is there but so is true pathos. In some scenes, it's touching (and I’m not the only one who thinks so; for me, those scenes are just moving, but my girlfriend cried and she knows her cinema). It’s never stupid. It’s also highly psychedelic. @s4doll: for now, I'm not stopping. Sorry but I only mentioned peplum and the peplum lately have been quite bad; I made the comparison with Sin City because of Miller. I still believe it’s a very beautiful film.

@Uxo: Are you a guru? But you've only been here for a few months. Come on, a bit of modesty. @Recensore: Don't waste your time with this stuff, if you really want some electrified funk, go to Arthur Russell!

I serve as long as you want, but Muccino knows how to use the camera. I miss those two and have always been fascinated by them... after all these comments though, you scared me. Great review, just a bit redundant.

much better than Sin City. this one is the ultimate visual experience and it strays even more from the comic. the actors are measured and never excessive, the rhetoric is present but it's impossible to make a peplum without some rhetoric, come on... I think even Leonidas would have liked it. Xerxes is a classic millenary trope where all the villains of our time gather (from Batman's Mutants to that Bastard yellow, not to mention Bullseye). just this film devours Gladiator, Troy, Alexander, and Sin City in one gulp. open your eyes and let yourself be conquered.

TheTrooper you really don't understand a damn thing (and you can't even read).

Reznor without demons (and substances) is pointless and sad like non-alcoholic beer.

@Kosmo: AIDS will strike whomever it pleases, but if we really want to associate it with music, then it's disco, which, precisely because of AIDS, began to fade in the early years of the eighties. This is history.
