I remember a review that came out some time ago about them, and I think it was actually by Alessio. Back then, I checked out their MySpace, but I wasn't really convinced. In fact... But now you're bringing them up again and analyzing them really well (as usual), and I'm left uncertain whether to look them up or not. I'll think about it. Anyway, dear Mien, I'm surprised by this youthful and contemporary release of yours. {:-D}

I don't know about your recent experiences and I generally try to avoid arguments, especially with those who support their posts (and you always do so thoughtfully). However, be careful: I don't confuse correct information with wisdom; I simply say that often the former is overshadowed by the latter. You are completely free to object and say that this movie disgusts you; I don't want to drag anyone into my river, but I also don’t feel obligated to follow others. That said, I'll close this discussion here, which honestly has gone on too long, and I hope for a more serene and less contentious dialogue in the future, as it seems we’ve clarified things enough by now.

I can't stand him. And, whether to laugh or not, I would never give him a single penny (so I would never pay to enter a theater where he is on stage).

maybe a bit high, but it works (if only for John Marley's performance and expression). by the way, within the same showcase, I also saw Von Stronheim's first film as a director (Blind Husbands). I may be young and ignorant, but I’m making up for it. give me time. {;-) }

It seems to me that you are misinterpreting what I said. I thanked you for the advice, but I pointed out that perhaps it could have been expressed with less condescension. Am I treating young people as fools? Well, then I'm shooting myself in the foot since I consider myself young enough (class of 1986). Did I forbid anyone to speak? I don't think so: I merely hoped for a civil dialogue in which participants respect each other. Did I call you violent or contentious? Maybe the latter, but not the former. As for the pat on the back, well, you asked for that: had you maintained a different tone, perhaps no one would have given it to you. Now feel free to respond however you want, but I'm not here to argue, and my tone is as calm as possible; unfortunately, I don't think the same can be said for you. And if you took offense, well, it seems I hit the mark...
