Well, the genre reminds me too much of Gemelli Diversi; if these are the masterpieces of Italian music, we're in trouble.

I was ten years old, I had just moved house and found myself alone in a neighborhood of gypsies: I remember that as soon as I arrived, three guys (who would later become three future junkies I would hang out with) tried to take my jump bike that I bought used. I got home all bloodied but happy to have saved the bike, and songs like Ramaya, Orzowey, Volo Az 504, Gloria kept me company... then not long after, middle school would start, but that’s a whole other story...

In my opinion, they were at their best when they were doing ska; their concerts were truly electrifying. The subsequent change never really appealed to me personally, it’s not my style. And what Giuliano Palma is doing now, well, let’s not even get into that—great music for a piano bar...

In my opinion, there are concerts that objectively suck, and the Converge one was one of those. Then there was a group of kids in the front rows who were getting all worked up, but they would have done that anyway. As far as I'm concerned, I'm no longer young enough to risk breaking ribs at a concert; I’m one of those who now stick to the back rows and try to enjoy the show, especially since in the past I’ve already lost a tooth (Live Mano Negra at the Leo) and I've had my share. To sum up: I'll keep listening to Converge on record (occasionally because I don't find them that phenomenal), but they won't fool me again live... stay human!

seen at the rolling this summer: an hour of almost boredom, the only one who put some heart into it was the singer. And if these are the new recruits, we're in trouble. After a week, I saw Sick Of It All, an immense concert from people who have been on stage for ages and make your transaminases shoot up, that's when I understood the difference between the old guard and the new bands that only make decent music on the record...
