On MySpace, yes, I've listened to them and I like them... I repeat, now I’ll see if I can find them on some site otherwise I’ll look for them in NY; anyway, I try to avoid downloading music!

I have to come up with a way to find them, I think... in September I'm going to NY, worst case scenario I'll buy them there!

It might be of interest. Well-done review, although I find it a bit brief; good job anyway.

Zzot, I'm talking to you specifically about Primordial (otherwise it can get really convoluted) and three albums I know (this one, "The Gathering Wilderness," and "Storm Before Calm," which I know less well): the themes that the band generally addresses relate to patriotism, exaltation of the Celtic spirit, and Ireland in general (so its history, but also its nature and beauty). For a quite detailed description of the themes covered in viking, folk, and pagan metal, I refer you to Wikipedia, which might (I don’t know) also mention the most representative bands! I know a few but could lead you astray!

...we'll have to spend a bit of time on it, and then we're good to go! Bye, and thanks again!

No, I perfectly understand what you’re saying, Gasta. I am very aware that Viking by its very nature is a genre belonging to Northern Europe (and certainly not to Ireland!). Nevertheless, this group, whether due to its often epic themes that deal with the history of its people or its musical roots (certain compositions are undeniably black in their early stages, just like Viking derives from black metal), has been geographically (and not only geographically in some cases) associated with this genre that is distant from it. Primordial = Viking is misleading, without a doubt, but it’s a generalization that often appears! Still, I agree with you, pagan and folk resonate more! You shouldn’t apologize, you haven’t made silly comments; they are more than justified! If only everyone were like that, imagine!

In fact, as I have also written, the term viking has always been associated with them in the past, probably due to its relevance to the themes dear to their land. In reality, it may be more accurate to speak (perhaps) of folk. Thanks anyway for the comment!

Well, it’s been a while, I’ve listened to the album again (and I’m listening to it again): salvo finisterra, memento mori, blood tells, once it was ours, luna and maybe something else, but I can only reaffirm my 3 for the album and 5 for the review. Bye!
