"these things have been said by news programs and newspapers," well, when it's like that...

Absolutely not, this is a damn good record.

Well, that's not exactly what they did.

More than "truth," I would call it a "thesis," a nice review but quite debatable. I remember them as the clones of Pearl Jam.

I love this discussion! Too bad the guitarists don't show up... (I, as a proud owner of a USA Stratocaster, am not one of them). It seems that the first guitarists using distortion were considered cheats by the more traditionalists. Absurdly, you should extend your theory to Delay as well; you shouldn't use it, but rather repeat the same notes more gently with a delay while executing the melody at the right tempo, all with your amazing technique! :)

Without those tunings, we wouldn't have had this group. Looking back at Frantz's forum, it doesn't seem like a good outcome to me.

It's not that it's easier (even if it were...), it's a way to achieve those sounds; it probably wouldn't be possible to get them with the "standard" tuning. You probably don't want to give up that beautiful sound of open strings or maybe that particular dissonance. I often find myself in a similar situation with another type of instrument that many customize, thus hindering the creation of a shared literature. Unfortunately, with this instrument, it's not possible to temporarily change the tuning, while with the guitar, it really takes very little.

Given that I know guitarists who can play in countless tuning types:
1) It can also signify a great knowledge of the instrument.
2) They don’t hold you back at all; you rearrange them however you like if you can, otherwise tough luck.
3) Composition is often the result of rough attempts; it's impossible to know in advance what the future composition will be; you have to try it out; sometimes great ideas even come from mistakes...
4) Well, you really have to apply yourself a lot even to learn to play with open tunings if you want to achieve that sound that excites the musician and their many followers.
5) Problems for live performances? Bringing two or three guitars doesn’t seem like such a huge sacrifice to me.
Numerical calculations? Music is just the art of sounds; you can do it however you want, and whether it’s liked or not is not a big issue.

Dear Hal, I don't know the record in question, it seems to me that it is heavily advertised, everything adds up... 'tacci loro.
