the arctic monkeys are the copy of the copy of the copy, but they can play. in my opinion, they'll be around for a short time, but they can play. I wonder if they'll make another album. I doubt it anyway.

I completely agree that there are always a few chords and it always goes around the same ones. I agree that there are endless plagiarisms in many of their songs. However, live they do an excellent job (in my opinion, that is the evaluation parameter for a band, that is, their live performance). I totally agree that the first two albums are unique and it's undeniable that they are two great albums, even if "simple" and not very complex. There are very few lyrics worth saving, especially from the early period. But without The Beatles, there would be no Oasis, and that’s fair. But without Oasis, at least 3500 bands that have emerged from 2000 until now wouldn’t exist, living off a single or at most two, and they will have a short life. For better or worse, they manage to be appreciated. I like them and I enjoy listening to them. Many of their songs even sound similar (d'you know what I mean and Wonderwall, for example). I hear a lot of new stuff (and there’s plenty of good stuff around), but I don't think they’re worth nothing. Then again, it's a matter of perspective. Maybe mine is wrong, but I like their songs. Listen to Gas Panic! or many B-sides that no one knows, and as they said some time ago, "with our B-sides, other groups could have built a career." I listen to them; maybe you prefer more sophisticated stuff. That's it.

"ooooooooooooooooooooooooo, you're always the same exaggerated jerk!!!!! the chords are three!". I admit this is funny!:D I keep driving myself crazy with their 3 identical chords, I don't want complicated stuff, dizzying solos, and boring electronic nonsense. bye.

Damn... of course it's a site for exchanging ideas, I never doubted that. Group for brain-dead? If that's the case, why do you read their reviews? You're lowering yourself to their level.

here's another one bringing up the story of music for kids. the REM, despite being great, don't seem to go beyond 4 chords. with sigur ros and radiohead, you enter another genre and they have nothing to do with it. it's like comparing maximo park to little barrie or black keys. as paul mccartney said, "the best pieces are those that don't exceed 4 chords." if you want complicated stuff, listen to steve vai and don’t bother us. stop.

I say... everyone listens to the music they want, that's fair. But I'm quite sure that 99% of the people who hate Oasis do so because of their statements and attitude, and have never listened to a song other than Wonderwall. That's not what understanding music is about. You listen, you judge, and then if necessary, you trash a band or praise it. I don’t know if those who commented here have actually listened to them or not, and I’m not referring to them, but to the majority who say “what garbage Oasis are,” only to find out they don’t even know the existence of wonderful tracks like “Sunday Morning Call,” “Half the World Away,” or “Fade Away.”
