I'm not saying it's easy to feel.... but their complete mastery of the instruments allows them to recreate every emotion they want to convey. in my opinion, the cover is beautiful... it's now an icon. download funny ways... you'll get an idea.

Tony Levin was amazing. Covers of Gabriel, the Crimson, and Zeppa. Even Fossati. And such a big smile when I handed him Thrak. I was saying about the pile that I find very boring... @caz, the wild bunch is pure bullshit! you're right, but for a novice I would recommend something more accessible...something that's more approachable, because no matter how "user-friendly" you want to define these records, they require trained ears. For starters, I consider Aqualung the right hybrid; even Le Orme have much more pop structures...albums where you still find some verse-chorus…someone not used to it might get lost...for example, I wouldn't recommend VDGG...you have to think about recommending a CD like that to someone who maybe only listens to indie or electronic or who maybe pretends to be a little alternative/refined...they'll never listen to it. Anyway, it's great that you're giving me this CD for Christmas!! ps: speaking of KC...on Friday night Tony Levin signed the Thrak that you recommended to me!

Don't you think area and gentle are a bit too challenging to start with?? I love the gentle ones, but I remember that as soon as I heard them, they left me feeling a bit like oh O_o.
