Don Paolo Spoladore (Padua, 1960) is a Catholic priest who has been alternating his religious activities with that of a singer-songwriter of devotional songs inspired by the Bible and the Gospel for many years.
Spoladore attends seminary until he is ordained in 1984. His passion for music leads him from a very young age to compose numerous Christian devotional songs, which receive widespread recognition among local communities. Over time, his popularity grows, leading him to perform in various venues in Italy and Europe.
In the 1980s, he founds Usiogope Edizioni ("Usiogope" in Swahili means "do not be afraid"), a multimedia publishing house that publishes his works and organizes concerts and communication courses, also led by Spoladore himself.
Since 1984, he has begun to collect and publish his songs in various albums. In these, he presents, in addition to his original compositions, also modern reinterpretations of classic Christian prayers; among the most famous are the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Magnificat, and the Canticle of the Creatures.
Since 2001, he has also been publishing an annual series of books that gather his reflections on the Gospel.
